Will Apnea affect our visual ability

I think that it should be pointed out that many of these problems are caused by long tern undetected or untreated apnea and that once treatment starts many of these riskes subside drastically. I also wanted to point out that the same article says this "Interestingly, one study suggested that althoug...

Heidi...I am brand new to this world and still afraid of it in many ways. But one thing that I am doing that is helping is that I am looking at my machine as if it were a motorcycle helmet that protects me rather than a crutch that helps me hobble along. Just a small thing that is helping me to keep...

I have never tried that. But I wanted to add that several years ago I was told that there was a study done at some university where subjects lived on several 20 minute catnaps daily for a period of time and did quite well. But I cant find any information on the study. If anyone knows of it please po...

I wanted to add that I am 45 years old and have lost 12 pound since this started. Down to 193lbs. I was only about that much overweight to begin with. I work out regularly - mainly jumping rope and brining my heart up to around 140. I just took my blood pressure and it was 124/72. So I feel great al...

Death Sentence? Mixed Sleep Apnea

Please give me some insight...my mind is going in circles. I convince myself that everything will be ok and then I focus on the Centrals in my study and have to start the whole thought process over again. I have been told that I have Mixed Apnea after seeing the results of my sleep study. The odd th...

Study - Repiratory Graph - Diffnc Btwn "Ap C" &

Hi. On my sleep study results the Dr. told me that I had OSA with a Central Component. On the respiratory graph he pointed out the few "true" Centrals that I had, but said that I had Moderate Mixed Apnea and seemed to be more focussed on the Obstructives. On the Respiratory Graph it seems to differe...

Well I have received my sleep study results. I was told that at this point I have Moderate Mixed Apnea. My average oximetry was 96.5%.
