I am 26 and am certain I have had OSA all of my life. Even at 5 years old my Dr. told me I had a problem.

Sooo, I am even younger than you! EICK?!

I suppose that, in a way, I already knew all of this. I guess I felt comfortable by my ignorance....it is easy to take the non-active approach and to believe the Doc. But, this is a one-stop shop, and he would have many reasons to look out for the DME and/or the insurance company. I asked him to get...

Do I really need...?

I have the normal remstar m series machine that does not tell you any data. I know that there are more expensive machines out there that report leakage and all of that other lovely stuff. But insurance won't cover them at all and I am wondering how useful they are in the first place. My Doc says the...

I just got a new mask yesterday, and spent my first night with it. And I think this just may work. I got the Opus Nasal Pillow one....and I did not have neaaar the amount of issues with it. I woke up only twice with it off, and that was because I did not place the pillows in correctly and they fell ...

I just checked out the twilight and measured my nose to see what fit would work.... and my nose is too small. Does anyone know of a nasal pillow made for really small baby noses?!

Nasal Pillow Masks...

Good morning all-- I am trying to find out what mask(s) I should try out, since the one I am currently using is quickly becoming an enemy... And I am interested in the nasal devices. But I am wondering which ones seem to be the most popular. I am curious about the Breeze https://www.cpap.com/product...

Hmmm...

I cannot help but agree with what has been said here. I am a brand new CPAP user, and sure the idea of the essential oils sounds fantastic, but I really want to make sure that it is approved for use. Even if it is considered non-harmful to use...the machines are way too expensive to be playing with!...

Thanks!

Thank you to everyone that has been so willing to explain their ideas on this subject. It is hard to digest the why's what's and when's, but in the end, the same age old concept is true: loose weight, live better. I am going to put my foot down and do my best to slim back down. That is the only real...

Software?

I have a possible silly question....

What is the deal with the software? What is it? What does it tell you? Would it work with my machine? And what are the differences?

In a nutshell, I have never been introduced to this and have no clue about it. Wanna inform a newbie? =)

OSA and Weight...

I am going to bring up a somewhat sensitive subject. Sleep apnea and weight. I am curious to know how many out here with OSA are overweight. Now, I know that is a lot to ask of people...to just come out and say "I am overweight". But I am trying to get a real idea of just how much weight really eff...

WHAT is comfortable about the "comfort gel"????

I am totally new to all of this, and I have already expressed how unbelievably miserable I am with the ComfortGel mask. I hate it. HATE IT!!!!! It hurts, my face is sore no matter what I adjust, and there is never a night I don't wake up at least once an hour (and with the mask thrown off my face). ...

So cool! I am glad to hear that...and it encourages me to stick with my mask too, as I am brand new to all of this (this is the end of my 2nd week). Is there anything specific you did to get there? I am just so frustrated with mine, grrr.

Any pointers would help.

Eick...

Well, I have little to say other than thank you to everyone responding to this thread. I think that it is interesting and that I should def. consider all sides before I alter my cpap usage at all... I will bring it up to my Dr. and unless he tells me it may disrupt the machine or my results, then I ...
