Back Problems
I had lower back pain for many years and was not able to do anything to get rid of it. I now sleep in a recliner and do very well. No more back pain. I get to sleep faster and the CPAP machine works well next to the chair. I was a back sleeper anyway. The chair gives me good back support and the bed...

Taking Ambien CR. I have found it marginally better than Ambien 10mg. They do not last like the older sleeping pills. The older ones were not as safe and don't seem to be used much. I get to sleep but wake up 3-4 hours later and the Ambien does not seem to be working anymore. Thank you for the opini...

I do not feel that I have any leaks. I put it on and then try to fall asleep with the machine. I went to bed later before being diagnosed. I slept OK but got way behind when I was sick for three weeks and coughed a lot, which interrupted sleep. I am going to try going to sleep about two hours later ...

I have a MAC G-5, non-intel processor. I use 10.4.9. Which Microsoft Virtual PC for Mac should I get. 1. Windows XP professional 2. Windows XP Home edition 3. Windows 2000 Professional The home edition of Virtual PC 7.0 is cheaper. I then need a smart card reader and software. My Remstar Auto M- Ser...

c-flex is set and used at 2. Will this effect the numbers that much? I hope someone will answer the so called good questions in the near future. When you really think about it there are alot of fine points that you don't know until you think about just what something means. I feel like there is so m...

AHI - What does it really mean on the display
I have an Remstar auto m- series which I reset daily to see the actual numbers for the night before. When it shows an AHI of 10.0 does that mean: 1. This is the per hour or per night numbers? 2. Is this what was responded to or prevented? 3. Is this what got by the machine and you really experienced...

Don't Understand
I am trying to understand what I just read in these posts. Lower AHI's are good but if the machine responds to all of them, and does not say non-Responsive isn't the problem being treated? Will a higher AHI number mean that you feel worse that day or not? I have not gotten lower than 8.8 and had 20 ...

Masks-Will Changing change anything
I have the UMFF mask and it seals OK and seem to work OK. My AHI is not that good (12-13) and sometimes goes to 20. If I use the HC 431 Full Face mask will anything really change? Does the mask, if it fits OK, make any real difference in the results? I do not know if the machine APAP in auto mode is...

I do not have another mask. I have set it to the CPAP setting tonight. I am using 9.5 cm and will have to see just what happens with the numbers. I know that, the machine, does not know if you are sleeping or awake but I thought it would get used to the breathing and notice an abnormality. I was bre...

I programmed it myself and it is absolutely in the AUTO Mode. From what I understand it should never got outside the programmed range in the AUTO Mode. I have never had it in the CPAP mode. Do you think it is malfunctioning as I have explained it. It sure appears that way to me. I have reset the dat...

Remstar Auto M-Series --Pressure rises while watching TV ?
I have it in the APAP mode with a range of: 8.0 -12.0 for auto operation. I put the mask on while I was awake and watching TV. The pressure started at 8.0 and then in 15 minutes it was up to 9.0 In five more min. it was up to 10.0. In another ten minutes it was up to 11.0. The pressure was pushing o...

Ramp Use--AHI Question
The auto m-series will not treat AH events during ramp but will it record or log such events during ramp.
My ramp is set for 15 minutes but sometimes I have to reactivate it.
Does anyone know if their AH Index is worse when they use ramp?
I get the feeling that this is happening.
