Thanks to all that replied. You all gave much valid input. I had never even thought about the possible air in the stomach. I know that when I spoke to the anesthesiologist he told me that since I woke up on a ventilator once after a laproscopic procedure, and that air introduced during the lap proce...

weight loss surgery and c-pap

Hi all... Has anyone on this list had gastric bypass surgery and gone off CPAP? I'm having my surgery this coming Tuesday and looking forward to feeling better physically. I've looked on FAQ's but did not see anything addressed. I am bothered though by the fact that I cannot bring my own machine. I ...

I'm an exclusive side sleeper also, but I've not found it a problem using my NA II. I alternate between using the NA II and the Breeze. Both have their little quirks but I've adjusted well to both. I have made a "sleeve" of sorts to use on my NA II just to make it even more comfortable, but it's not...

Nasal-aire II

I've recently switched from the Breeze (which I loved by the way) to the Nasal-Aire II. I wear the Breathe Band with it instead of the band that came with the interface. I had to change sizes once, but once I found the right size I really like it a lot. I've tried different ways to wear it like foun...

Astelin

I use one spray per nostril usually before bedtime, but sometimes in the morning also. I usually only use it when the weather changes to the cold side. It hasn't lost it's effectiveness yet, but it's only been about a year since I started it.

over the nose masks

Have a question for RestedGal...since she mentioned PB DreamFit, instead of the DreamSeal for the Breeze...can anyone tell me if they have used or use the one that works with the Breeze interface?? I really like my Breeze and am trying out the Nasal-Aire II now, although my nose is screaming at me!!...

my new nasal-aire II

I just recieved my Nasal-Aire II yesterday. I have had one full face mask that I started off with and for the past 6 months I've been using the Breeze. I think this one might actually be better and that's saying alot since I do love the Breeze. Since it was time to order a new mask I decided on this...

Breeze vs Swift

I love my Breeze. I'm a side sleeper and it seems better for me. I was afraid the Swift wouldn't be as comfortable for me on my side. It's also fairly quiet in my opinion. Even though he is very gracious most of the time with the exhaust from the Breeze, my bedpartner is beginning to call the exhaus...

Oh my, this message thread left me in stiches. Haven't even thought about a name for it yet...everybody just has a name for me when I'm wearing my mask. They call me "Darth". I too have many not so nice names for my masks at times. I really do like some of the names written in this post, so who know...

Hi... Yes, add me to the numbers for diabetes. I was diagnosed insulin resistant diabetic (type 2) about a year ago...just about 4 months before I was diagnosed with OSA. I'm taking Actos and watching my diet. My A1C's have been perfect for about 6 months now so my Dr. is happy. My cholesterol is gr...
