Well OK, I reset the macine last night to 6-15. I think I slept better than when it was set to 4-15. My experience seems to firm up what many of you are saying that 4 is way to low to to any good. I am still taking off the mask after a few hours, but hopefully this Auto machine is better for me and ...

Thanks for the info on the manual web sites. resetting the machine seems fairly simple. Learning how to do it on the last machine (a basic Remstar) made a lot of difference especially when I increase the setting from 4 to 8 Funny thing, Dr Sleep didn't like me messing around with the setting on my l...

My Meeting with the Respironics Rep update
Hello All, I met with the Respironics Rep and Dr Sleep last night. they gave me a new machine. A REMSTAR Auto/Aflex M seriies. I'm not sure which one to pick for my profile. Anyway the purpose of them giving me the new machine was to determine the optimum pressure for me (see my previous posts) A ma...

Good advice all. I intend to ask all these questions and insist on answers I can understand . I do see it as an opportunity to get all the parties together and hopefully work with me on the same playing field. Interesting factoid: I have talked with 3 people in Dr Sleep's office including the Doctor...

Oh BOY! I get to meet Mr Resperonics!
Got A call from Dr Sleep's office today. They set up an appointment with Dr Sleep, The Sleep Lady (Tech) The Resperonics Rep and me. Seems no one there is that familier with the Autopap Cflex Smart card Combo that they are giving me at the appointment. So Mr Resperonics is going to coach me how to u...

Hi all, Been away for awhile. Thanks for the advise on the Ramp Button. After figuring out how to use it I discovered I can set it to start at a higher number. So I start it at 5 and let it ramp up to 8 in about a half hour. When I mask up I hit the start button adjust Mr Mask to correct air leaks. ...

Sorry for the confusion, my fault. The Machine I have is at the bottom of this post. The Doctor is going to lend me an Auto, because she wasn't able to determine a good pressure number for me during the sleep test. I do not have the auto machine yet, but expect to have it in about a week. I don't kn...

Hello Sandy, Yes I did see Dr. Sleep Last week. Since the sleep tests didn;t go that well. She ordered an Autopap machine for me to use for awhile to determine what pressurre is best for me. I currently am on 8. She is guessed that I probably should be a 10 or 12. The more I think about the posts on...

Whoa Wait!? I do have a problem when i'm exhaling. feels like i'm trying to blow up a ballon. there is a little flapper on the mask that seems to shut off some air flow from the machine and opens up a hole in the mask for exhaling. One of the things that bother me is I don't seem to be able to exhal...

Ok, I was able to activate the ramp button to work over 40 minutes. it starts at 4 pressure and ramps up incementaly to 8. What time span do some of you use on the ramp up? I'm still only able to use this CPAP thing for 3 hours a night. (I'm on my 3rd week) I know I am feeling better especially righ...
