Re: Need help with CPAP supplies
Hello, and thanks for these replies. I originally missed them when they were posted. The part that I am really in need of is what I'm calling a "whip" is referred to as the "Glider Strap" https://www.cpap.com/productpage/fisher-paykel-glider-strap-hc432-forma-full-face-cpap-mask.html I'll see if I c...

Need help with CPAP supplies
Hello, Not really sure why, but, over 1 year ago my DME just quit calling me for updates of my CPAP supplies. Also, last year at this time due to a thyroid condition I lost a ton of weight and stopped wearing my CPAP for awhile, so I didn't want to make waves about the CPAP gear. At any rate, after ...

Empty water chamber daily??
Hello, I've been a CPAP user for about 7 years now, and have always regularly cleaned and changed my water chamber, but, just topped it off every night. Now, my son has just become a CPAP user, and his DME has told him that he should empty his water chamber every morning and use a fresh batch of wat...

Re: Obamacare Explained in One Sentence
About a month ago, I receive a letter, stating that.......according to the provisions of "The Affordable Care Act" and "as provided by law" my premiums are to go up by 150%! Seeing that I already pay about $550 per month, That makes MY "Affordable Care" $825 per month! So, I call BCBS and I am told...

Re: Obamacare Explained in One Sentence
Well, that surely explains it all! Before Obamacare was even thought of, I applied for private insurance because do contract work. I was classified HIGH RISK because a few months prior had a surgical procedure to CORRECT acid reflux. I was told that had I KEPT the reflux, I would not be high risk, ...

Re: Airlines and cpap
I have ALWAYS and EVERY TIME I have flown had to open and unpack my CPAP machine, and allow the TSA to wipe it down for chemical/explosive residue. I've had to place it in it's own tub, and it's always been very inconvenient because with my last machine, I had a backpack that I packed, with the CPAP...

Compliance VIC is blank??
I know I just started with this new machine, and this may be a factor, but, this is a little concerning. I am supposed to log in on 8/26 (which I know is some time away) and put this code from the Compliance VIC screen in to prove I am using my machine so the insurance will continue to cover my mach...

Re: Intentional vs. Unintentional Leaks
I also found this information about my mask from the manufacture website.
At my pressure of 14, the exhaust flow from the mask should be about 40 if I read that correctly.

Here is a report from Encore. I think it is the section you are asking about.

Intentional vs. Unintentional Leaks
Hello, I saw some discussion on another post regarding intentional and unintentional leaks. One user defined the intentional leak as the venting that takes place from my full face mask and therefore the leak they would expect to take place. My question therefore becomes, when I look at my data, how ...

Re: Question about bathroom breaks.
I suppose turning the machine off is probably the best approach as well. I could not sleep last night for a time, and the machine just shows a gap in the data. http://imageshack.com/scaled/large/849/tih5.png I suppose my only concern would be the power cycles on the machine. It seems the data collec...

Re: Question about bathroom breaks.
I have always unplugged my hose, and stuffed it under my pillow. (My wife detests the air venting from my mask, so if I lay facing her, I usually cover my face with the sheet so the air does not vent toward her) I do this so the air does not blow freely toward her. I wonder if this large spike betwe...
