Re: New Name Time....Need Suggestions
Count me in, SeaPappy! Both with those who didn't get that SeaPap = CPAP, and those who want you to keep it! It's WAY too confusing for us to try to track old and new names. I think there should be a warning when you register on this site: WARNING!: This site can become addictive. Users who register...

Re: Newbie intro, thanks and questions
Hi, Candem, welcome to the forum!
While I think Rested Gal has a great suggestion about the F&P HC 150 humidifier, I wonder about travel, and whether you would have to choose between packing/carrying two devices or going without humidity.
Good luck, and keep posting!

Re: Bugs in my throat!
Thanks for the ever-so-clever responses, -SWS and Rooster! I guess I never considered the possibility that it actually WAS bugs. Ummmmm, no, still not going to. I used some Nasacort yesterday morning, (I'm supposed to use it daily, but got lazy and stopped about 6 months ago), and made it through th...

Bugs in my throat!
Not really, but that's what it feels like! For the last month or so, I've had a nightly episode lasting about 10 minutes where my throat tickles and spasms. I cough, sometimes sneeze, and clear my throat. I've tried a soothing throat spray, but I admit I'm too lazy to take my gear off and try anythi...

Re: GoodKnight 420E Pressure Tube
I made the mistake one night of not connecting the small tube to the machine - either that or it wasn't on snugly and fell off - and it's not something you want to do. The machine interprets it as your mask dicsonnected, and lowers the pressure to around 2 cm. I woke up. Gasping. Headachy. Tired. Co...

Re: outlawswife47 had a question
I think you can use the humidifier if you get a dc/ac converter for it. The dc end goes to the 12 volt battery, and the ac end supplied 110 ac for the humidifier.
Good luck,
Cathy

Re: I GIVE UP!!!
When I mentioned aerophagia to my doctor, he also recommended simethicone. The rationale was that once the little bubbles became a big bubble, they could pass through the digestive tract. Good for me, bad for others in the room... I take two Walgreen brand simethicone gelcaps before bed on days when...

Re: First Business Trip with CPAP
Phil, While traveling with CPAP is not a big deal, I am glad for you that your trip was cancelled, so you can get some more time under your hose before taking the show on the road. Your doctor sounds like a real keeper! Getting a data capable machine with that little work is a huge deal. Way to go! ...

Re: Headrest Nasal Interface Cleaning
Gasp, Just because you'r still trying new things, that doesn't make you a noob! Anyway, I would definitely recommend trying the Headrest. The decapitated headrest is the most innocuous thing you can imagine, but unfortunately by the time you tie it on it's not too sexy...even though I use leopard pr...

Re: I've noticed something strange about my Headrest mask
Billmanweh, I have used the headrest since almost the beginning, so I don't have a comparison for the temperature. The smell of a new nasal pillow goes away within a day or two. Hope your NP works for you. I think it's a great little mask. There's lots of threads dealing with customization and optim...
