Re: Mouth Tape Recommendations

Out of three tapes, I found Cover Roll to be the best sticking and lowest priced. It did better than Pap Md, and another medical tape, but unfortunately for me nothing will keep my mouth shut during sleep. Taping with Cover Roll brand may work to keep your mouth from opening but it may not. I have ...

Re: Mouth Tape Recommendations

I switched from the Innomed Hybrid to ResMed's F30, and am very happy with it - much quieter than the Innomed, and easier to sleep with since it doesn't blow air in strong streams the made me have to place my head "just so" to avoid the blowing on my arm, blankets etc. Haven't tried any of the othe...

Re: Mouth Tape Recommendations

I thought since Oscar rarely showed any large leaks that that wouldn't be the problem, but I guess it could be leaking a little bit for a long time? Yeah, I am really bummed about the discontinuation of the Hybrid. It's only mask I've ever been able to tolerate, but have to admit I haven't tried ver...

Mouth Tape Recommendations

. What have folks here found to be the best mouth tape, one that doesn't come off but yet doesn't damage your skin? I wear a Hybrid, which has nasal pillows and an oral cushion. I wake up several times a night with my lips parted, my tongue basically glued to the roof of my mouth, cheeks stuck to gu...

Re: Dispose of a recalled cpap?

#2 What can I do to dispose of the 3 I have? As to your question about what to do with the three machines you have... We had four recalled machines. For each one when they sent a new machine, they also sent a box with label to return the recalled machine. I did that for three of them but never got ...

Re: UARS but normal AHI RDI but Many spontaneous arousals

People don't want to admit that the sleep maintenance insomnia monster has set up residence in their body. Instead they want to blame UARS or "cpap not working" or whatever because they want a quick fix instead of doing to work to try to fix the problem.......and people....trust me....I personally ...

Re: Dreamwear for dry-eyes patients

Would you share where your purchased the the eye goggles? I am thinking about getting something from the Dry Eye Shop. I used their Tranquileyes years ago for another problem, but that particular product doesn't work for me with keeping air completely out of my eyes at night. Thanks!

Re: OT:::::Medicare Advantage plans "are taking over Medicare and they are taking advantage of elderly patients,"

Ever notice those who claim to be "way ahead" or "be happy" never volunteer what MA plan they are using? And IMHO IF you travel an HMO type plan is not the one to have. Of course I don't like an HMO even when not traveling. Didn't know that mentioning the plan was needed but here ya go since it see...

Re: OT:::::Medicare Advantage plans "are taking over Medicare and they are taking advantage of elderly patients,"

I used to be case manager at a major hospital chain and i always recommend patients to switch to traditional medicare. Adantage only takes your advantage as a patient and pays for nothing. Yash B Well, that hasn't been my husband's experience for the last five years or my experince this year (first...

Re: OT:::::Medicare Advantage plans "are taking over Medicare and they are taking advantage of elderly patients,"

My husband has been on two different medicare advantage plans over the last five years, just switching to the second one for this year. He had no problems at all switching during the designated change period and has been happy with what is covered. This is my first year on a Medicare advantage plan ...

Re: CPAP during COVID infection

Having recently recovered from covid and rebound covid, I used my machine every night. I have been fully vaccinated so it wasn’t as bad. I have very low AHI and saw it nudged up a bit during the few bad days and was thankful I was using the machine. I'm in the middle of rebound right now, and it's ...

Any takers at $350?
If you haven't sold it yet, I know of someone on a FB sleep apnea group that is desperate to get one. I can send her this way if you still have it. (Oh, for some reason the images are not showing for me, but you may have removed them since it's a been a few days.)

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

I have a System One 60 and they said it cannot be replaced or refurbished so offered me $50 for it. Philips was not going to repair and refurbish older systems one devices as they are over 5 years old and past their normal lifespan. The option to accept $50 for the system one 560 or $25 for the 550...

Power Bricks & Heated Tubing for D21 and DS2

. I received my new DS2 and a refurbished DS1 as replacements for my System One 60 and System One 50 machines. The replacement machines came with unheated tubing. My husband, on the other hand, received replacements for DS1 machines that did have heated tubing, so he received heated hoses with his r...
