I had a hose break almost in two.
I wrapped saran wrap, then masking tape - kept it real tight - worked.

probably not generally recommended, but I did this
I use a pillow mask that fits pretty well. Since this is the least expensive part of the set up, and totally replaceable, I use a sticky cosmetic product for that "extra seal," and it works. Hello y'all - I just joined the waking. Well, it's come to this. My first night I lasted 1/2 hour at pressure 8, and it hurt my ears, so I gave up in frustration.
