ear pressure problems & appliance to keep jaw forward

I'm new to cpap (one month) and my doctor and I agreed that I should stop using it (at least for the time being) because of middle ear problems. As I continued to use the machine and even lower the pressure, the worse my ears got. I've always had problems flying because of intense ear pain. My docto...

I had a hose break almost in two.

I wrapped saran wrap, then masking tape - kept it real tight - worked.

Good luck.

probably not generally recommended, but I did this

I use a pillow mask that fits pretty well. Since this is the least expensive part of the set up, and totally replaceable, I use a sticky cosmetic product for that "extra seal," and it works. When the pillow part deteriorates, I'll get another. The product is Murray's Beeswax, and is actually found i...

how did you paste the number chart into your email?

Is that something that anyone can do with any machine?

It's very nice to be able to see what's going on.

Thank you - regards, Dee

TV puts me to sleep in 5 minutes - or less.

I had to watch Lost Weekend 5 times before I ever saw the end.

Wish I could stay awake and see one more episode of anything.

Thanks - regards, Dee

I made my own cover with long socks. No elegant, but free. I think the real problem is with a 6' hose that just gets in the way.

Has anyone found shorter hoses? Or have you modified the length? I'd love to hear.

Thanks, dwilson

newbie trying to adjust - question about ear pain

Hello y'all - I just joined the waking. Well, it's come to this. My first night I lasted 1/2 hour at pressure 8, and it hurt my ears, so I gave up in frustration. Had the pressure adjusted to 7 and tried again - this time I got 3 good hours of sleep, and decided that was enough. Just very mild ear d...
