Re: Sleep Doctor in DFW, TX Area
I haven't been on this board for years, just happened to be bored tonight and thought I'd check back in and happened to see your post. Dr. Margaret Mike is the name on my prescription but I couldn't give you the first idea of what she's like because I never actually met her. I had my sleep study, sh...

Re: Problems to adjust to a Swift LT I'll give up
The first thing I thought of when I saw this was I wonder if you have the pillows mounted in the mask upside down. There's a definite UP and DOWN on the pillow.rosacer wrote:I feel there is no position I can place that thing,

Re: REMstar LITE Pressure - HELP PLEASE!
I tried searching and found a few instances of other people looking for the same information but couldn't find where anyone had ever posted the solution. I'm not familiar with that machine, other than from fuzzy pictures I've seen posted on Craigslist. It appears to have only two buttons, I'm not su...

Re: Anyone ever hear of or use one of these....
I tried one of these a few years ago when I was first starting out and was desperate to find a mask that would work for me. Piece of junk. The boil-and-bite mouth piece was a pain to set up and then it didn't really clamp onto my teeth well. The only way I could keep the device stable was to bite do...

Re: Using cpap in Asia
As mentioned, make sure you have an electrical plug adapter, you could possibly run into a couple of different varieties over there. If you're taking anything with you that won't run on 240 volts, you can buy a small power converter at Radio Shack or other electronics stores. Make sure to carry an e...

Re: ResMed's new Swift FX?
Another info sheet, this one gives a pretty good view of the headgear. I'm actually quite interested in this if they will begin to sell it in the U.S. I've done quite well with the LT and this looks like it may put less pressure on the upper lip, which is the one minor issue I have now. http://www.r...

Re: First 2 Nights With Swift LT
Thanks GL! The photos really did the trick. The one thing I am wondering about is if he o-rings limit the effectiveness of the pillows. What I mean is, I thought that the pillows having the ability to move/adjust in and out is one of the main features of the Swift LT. If the o-rings prevent this mo...

Re: First 2 Nights With Swift LT
One thing no one has suggested that I found helpful was to get some rubber o-rings and slip them over the cushions so they provide some added support. With this setup I'm able to pull the straps tight enough to keep the cushions from shifting and leaking while still keeping the bulbous base part of...

Re: THE GREAT PILLOW EXCHANGE
I have a new unused large pillow for the Swift LT if anyone wants it.
I use a medium; if you have one to trade, great, but if not, that's okay too as I just traded two smalls for mediums so I'm not desperate.
Shoot me a PM if you want it.

I tried it early on, it didn't work for me. The mouthpiece was bulky and caused massive drooling. The worst part is it didn't "click" onto my teeth well so the weight of the hose and interface caused it to continually dislodge. The only way I could keep it in place was to use a chinstrap pulled up s...

I wouldn't be able to wear the Headrest with its headgear at all , if I didn't use the leg cut off a pair of tights as an "extra" strap around it. That mask would be useless to me without that homemade strap. I wouldn't be able to wear it for fifteen minutes, the leaks would be so bad. With the add...
