Re: Nocturia
Pugsy, I just had a physical with blood work. No diabetes so far. I probably need to see my sleep doc. I don't go to him very often as it is a waste of time, but the last time (before this problem) he did offer for me to have a new titration. I have only had one since my initial one. I guess it's ti...

Nocturia
I haven't been on here in a long time so, Hi everyone! I was diagnosed with sleep apnea in 2006 and have been compliant since. An added bonus to being able to sleep was not getting up several times a night to go to the bathroom. I wasn't aware of this phenomenon until it happened to me, so I googled...

Re: Headgear Adjustment Question - Respironics Deluxe
I know this is an old post, but it seems no one ever answered you. I just got this headgear and can't figure it out either. I hope you found the answer after all these years! If so, please let me know how it works. Thanks!

Re: Treatment making apnea worse?
DoriC, I had another sleep study a couple/few years ago and the results were the same. I have tried a lot of different masks. I started with the mask I am using now - the Comfort Gel Nasal (I hate the frame for the new Blue version and am using what I have left of my old frames). A long time ago I d...

Re: Treatment making apnea worse?
Captain_Midnight, thanks for the info. I googled. Makes sense. Just one more piece of bad news related to sleep apnea. Pugsy, everything is definitely sagging more. And even though I am overweight, I weight a little less than I did when first diagnosed. I was just kind of thinking that like a muscle...

Re: Dry Mouth
Pugsy, yes on the Bi-Pap machine. I realized my mask was incorrect though. I haven't been here in a long time, so I changed that. I don't want my machine to die and have to buy another one, but that new-fangled machines sounds good. sleepytime70, I have a chinstrap, but I don't use it. It never seem...

Re: Dry Mouth
Pugsy, one more thing. About the meds. I take Klonopin to help me sleep. (Yes, my pulmonologist originally prescribed it for me.) I usually only take 1/2 of a 1 mg tablet if I take it at all. But the last couple of weeks I have been taking 1 mg nightly. That might be what is going on with the dry mo...

Re: Dry Mouth
Pugsy, I don't think I've heard of heated hoses. Not sure what that is all about. Julie, I have been tested for Sjogren's. I don't have it. I think the Bi-Pap has made my dry eyes worse. It started getting noticeably bad about the time I went on Bi-Pap. My gender and age probably has a lot to do wit...

Re: Treatment making apnea worse?
Pugsy, your explanation sounds good. I just feel like I have gotten worse over the years. I have never felt a difference in all these years. My doctor said that I would "feel like a new person." Not. And I don't understand how people who have sleep apnea can "sleep" without it. (I still don't sleep ...

Treatment making apnea worse?
I have been thinking about this on and off for a while. When I was first diagnosed with sleep apnea in 2006, I went for testing because I wasn't sleeping well and I had about 3 episodes when I woke up gasping. Of course, I didn't know what this was but when I told a friend she said it sounded like s...
