Resmed 10 w/out humidifier?
I am currently sleeping with a Resmed S9 that's getting old enough that I want to replace it before it stops working. I'm inclined to stay with Resmed because I'm accustomed to Resmed's EPR system. But I've also found that I sleep much better without a humidifier. Can the Resmed Airsense 10 be used ...

EncorePro 2 installation problem
Hi, I'm trying to install EncorePro 2.2 on my 32 bit Vista system. When I tried to download Installer 4.5, all of the versions gave me the message that they were not for my system. I want ahead and tried to install EncorePro. I kept receiving the error that it could not install the SQL server. Check...

The poor guy in that picture looks so sad! But I bet he'll be happier when he wakes up rested.

Re: Throwing money away
In my case, the DME will only replace the full mask and headgear. No parts. So, despite the fact that I'd be very happy getting just nasal pillows or mouth seal for my Mirage Liberty, I end up having the entire thing replaced. I've complained about this, but gotten nowhere. What a waste.

Re: My new machine. The PR System One
I really like my new System One - a huge improvement over the M-Series Auto. I've found that I need to set the A-flex to a lower setting than I did on the M-Series. On my old machine I set the pressure relief to 2. On the new machine 1 is the sweet spot. I haven't experimented with the other variati...

Re: Newbie here and to Cpap
Chin straps are mostly useless unless you have the right shape face but you can still leak through loose lips. Get a hybrid or full face mask like quatro I agree. Chin strap, tape, Polident to glue your lips together... I've tried them all, and they all work, and they are all a pain. They would be ...

Re: I cancelled my one year appt for follow up sleep study
Once a year sleep study? Cay you spell R-I-P-O-F-F? I don't know what a sleep study costs in your part of the woods, but here in New Jersey the sleep center bills at about $5000. Nice job, if you can get it! No wonder they don't want you to have a data-capable machine and access to your own numbers!...

Re: Hybrid mask--yes or no?
I have used both the Hybrid and the Mirage Liberty. I started using the Hybrid after I found that I had too many leaks with a full-face mask, and couldn't stand all of the taping etc. with a nasal mask. It was a huge improvement. In fact, I was buying it out-of-pocket since my insurance-covered DME ...

Re: I need to buy an automatic CPAP ... advice??
Hi Gasp, I've had two Auto PAPs: The Respironics M-series Auto and the newer Respironics System One Auto. Even though I've only been sleeping with the System One for three nights, I can tell you that it's far superior. Several of us have given first impressions in this thread: http://www.cpaptalk.co...

Re: Encore Pro 2 Install Difficulties
My mind is spinning! Can anyone give a simple, step-by-step process for installing Encore 2.2 on a Vista 32 bit system? I'll be trying to install later this week, and anything to simplify will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jeff First install the WindowsInstaller 4.5.exe software. You will probabl...

Re: PR system One auto - first impression
I've now had three nights on the System One Auto, so I'm ready to share a few first impressions. As to the design, I personally like it. Compared to the big clunky looking M Series, this is low and sleek. It looks at first glance like a clock radio (although most clock radios don't have a hose comin...

Re: Newbie here
Just one more note on hoses. I agree that using a hose cover really helps. Having something soft and warm brush against your face is much more pleasant than cold medical plastic. In fact, my daughter (age 13) will be starting APAP this week, and I've already ordered her a hose cover in her favorite ...
