Just to let you know that Silverlining stores 96 hours of detail data and I believe up to 200 sessions of "summarized" data. So you don't need to download the data everyday.

Cathy, I was considering the Respironics M Series Auto with C-Flex and the PB GoodKnight 420E before my purchase. From some of the posts I read the Silverlining software for the 420E easier to setup and use compared to Encore Pro for the M Series. At that time software is not my main concern but the...

I got my PB 420E and Silverlining software about a week ago. I like it for it's compact size for travel and it's very quiet. The software is easy to setup and use. Note that the 420E do not have exhale relief feature (like C-flex) but I've no problem with that. My pressure range is 5-10. Also the 42...

I'm curious if it exited setup mode shouldn't it function as per normal - starting at 5cm? I'm tiltrated at 7cm and managed to convinced the physician for an auto so she wrote me a script for that for 5-10cm. I will get Silverlining today and will check it out tonight again. Thanks for your input..

Question on PB420E

Hi, First of all I'd like to thank all of you for the valuable information in this forum. I got my PB420E with heated humidifier yesterday. The pressure range as prescripted is from 5-10 with a 5 mins ramp. I went to bed and woke up to go to the bathroom - after about 2+ hours of sleep - so I turn-o...

The prescription is printed by the Sleep Study clinic and signed by a different physician than the one I visited with. I will try to call the sleep clinic people tomorrow to see if I can get a different script that would allow me to purchase an APAP. So I gather that I would at least need the EXP an...

Thanks for your comment.

There is a note in my prescription **Use Local Durable Medical Equipment Company Only**.

Why is that?

Got my prescription yesterday

Hi, I jot my prescription in the mail yesterday and would like your opinion on two APAP machines I have shortlisted: Puritan Bennett 420E and Respironics M Series Auto with C-Flex. 1) The PB420E do not have feature like the C-flex that I used during my tilteration study. (set to 2) 2) Software frien...

I see. I guess I will get the prescription and see what my local DME is charging me and if my insurance allows online purchase.

If setting up the CPAP machine is via user interface (like buttons) then I should be able to handle that.

Thanks for your input.

Is DME necessary?

Hello, I'm going for my titration study next week and I will get my prescription after that. After reading about DME charging much more than one can purchase online I'm wondering what is the advantage of buying through DME besides the insurance billing. With the prescription, will I be able to "prog...

Thanks for all the replies. I'm new to this and do not know much. I was "shock" when diagnosed with OSA and have been reading up. I guess I will know more after my CPAP overnight study. I'm not sure which I would/should use: APAP or CPAP. I assume that my doctor will advise on all these. Thanks for ...

Bill, Thanks for the tip. I like one that is light so that I can take it on my trips to Asia. Dual voltage is a must in this case which both unit has. I did a comparison on cpap.com and the difference between these two are: Pressure relief on exhale - not available on the GoodKnight - I don't know h...

Help with CPAP machine

Hello, I'll be purchasing a CPAP machine after my CPAC pressure study in March. I have reviewed several model at cpap.com and need help deciding between Resmed S8 Vantage EPR and Goodknight 420E. Which is quieter? For the mask, I like the Optilife nasal pillow and I hope to be able to use it in my C...
