Hello All,
I was wondering if anyone out there has connected two six foot tubes to make a 12 foot tube. If so what coupling did you use, where did you get it, and how does it work (ie. leak rates).

Sleep Data Recording CPAP's versus Sleep Studies
Hello Everyone, I was just wondering if anyone here knows if the cpap machines that record your nightly data (ie smart card, encore pro, etc) have been tested against real sleep studies to validate their accuracy for recording events. _________________ CPAPopedia Keywords Contained In This Post (Cli...

Hello, I too have had problems with feeling like I am stopping breathing right as I am falling asleep--feeling like there is a disconnect from my brain to my lungs. From studying the posts on this forum and talking to others, I am almost 100% certain (for me) that these are normal centrals -like eve...

Re: adreneline shot?
I just read this post and am curious: When you awake in the middle of the night with your heart pounding (from whatever cause), can you then go back to sleep? That seems to be my problem. I just like awake because I can't fall back to sleep after the heart pounding episode until it's time to get up...

My OSA is all hypopneas, so not sure if I will qualify, but I am going to try. I will keep the board updated on the trial. It is all medication no combo w/c...

Do you like your pulse oximeter? Help!
Hello all, Sorry about all of the pulse oximeter questions in advance. I have read some of the posts about pulse oximeters. I am looking to see how you like your pulse oximeter? Does it have memory or not? Do you feel it is accurate? Does it have software and does the software cost extra? Where is t...

Hey Snorenomore2005, I wanted to let you know that Linda 2032 was referring to a post that I made a couple of weeks ago. It was regard to me waking up around 4 or 5 am out of a dream, then realizing my heart was pounding very hard, accompanied by some chest pain/pressure. These episodes were happeni...

John, I think that is a great idea. Maybe each "trader" can be given a rating, like the ratings system on ebay. If they ship a mask in a timely manner and it is clean then they get a high approval rating, and others will want to trade with them more. Likewise if someone get's a "poor trader" rating,...

Aura/Twilight NP Low Leak Rate--Please Help!!
Hello, I just recieved my aura/twilight np a couple of days ago and I found something in the encore data that disturbs me. My AHI was good at 1.3, but my leak rate is running from and average of 12 on one occasion to an average of 20 on another occasion, but never higher than 20. I am very concerned...

New in package Swift NP System for Trade
Anybody want to trade, I have a new in unopened package Swift NP system (medium pillows). I would be looking to trade for Aura/Twilight NP (medium), or a Comfort Gel Medium, preferably new also. Effect of Exercise on OSA
Hello all, I just read this study on the effect of exercise on obstructive sleep apnea. I thought it was interesting, because they not only attributed the reduction of AHI to decreased weight, but also increased conditioning. I also wonder if there isn't a component of increased sleep efficiency and...
