Slinky, I think the ultimate comparison/ result is how you feel the next morning. I have been shuffling between 4 different masks over the last 11 months. My numbers seem to be all over the place. With a Hybrid, I had alot of hypopneas and more apneas, than I have currently been having using a Resme...

I am in the same boat as track. I've been on my current machine since Febuary, I have used 5 or 6 different masks, and have tweaked the settings based on the numbers. The only constant in the inconsistency. Even on a night with good numbers, ie. AHI 1.5, and normal leak rate for the mask in use, I s...

I have been using a hybrid for almost a month, and wish I could say the same as pastordave. I have had some good and some not so good nights with it. I have experimented with the 3 face cushions and nasal pillows, I cut the chin flap off one of them and tried that, and settled on medium for both fac...

I have a follow up question to this topic. I also have my card erased after each download. Being new at this, I have about 20 days of downloads in the "Interaction List". Is there a way to combine some of these into a group, so they can be viewed using a date range? I have checked the help menu for ...

Like the others here, I went to this to get away from taping. I have tried using a cut piece of 3X3 bandage in the chinflap, it stays in, and makes it more comfortable. The medium face and pillows, cut apart, work the best for me. Cutting them apart helped with getting them to line up better with my...

So I guess my next question to either Goofproof or Snoredog would be, is using a hybrid with my auto bipap like the proverbial "pissing in the wind", I went to it because of mouth breathing and wanting to get away from taping. I seem to be doing ok with it, although my HI indexs are higher than when...

Jeff, Here is a link that I found posted on the forum, that you can use to check what the vent rates are for several masks. You need to check it against whatever your top pressure was. Obviously would want a small a difference as possible. Not sure about the MyEncore question. http://internetage.com...

Just finished second night with Hybrid, and like betty303, am having leak problems with the mask, with the nasal pillows. At top IPAP pressure of 14cm they seem to want to pop out. I had a 1 hour large leak the first night, with a 66l/m average, got it to 5min. large the second night, with a 62l/m a...

adolson, I found this link from this forum for mask leak rates. I think these are average rates, but not sure. http://internetage.com/cpapinfo/leak-rates-1.html The rate for the swift @ 12cm is 37, so I guess your number would be considered high. But I am new at this myself. Hope this helps. Also mo...

Nor am I named jeff, or have any close relations with that name. But this is exactly why I only used the first cpap that I was put on in july of 04, until this december for maybe a third of the time. It seemed I did just as well with either ambien or lunesta, and no hose. After talking with two frie...
