White noise is actually healthy for her! Aside from my hubby's Cpap machine, we have slept with a white noise machine for years...it is something you need to get used to....but once you do, it's great. Remember, it only takes 21 days to get used to something brand new, or to introduce a new behavior...

My co-pay for Provigil is 35/month. That is the highest co-pay out of all of our meds. It has changed my life though....I feel alive again.

I'm thinking that they will come out with a generic Provigil soon.....

I hope the Adderall works for you.

Do you have Narcolepsy and OSA?

LOL I don't know what brand pillows he has....he is Aspergerish, and when someone gives him instructions...he takes it literally and its challenging to convince him otherwise.. Any evidence of petroleum jelly working as a "seal" for the pillows? I may not have a prayer if he feels that a seal is mor...

Did you get a daytime nap study too? It's called a MSLT...and it helps the dr see if you have excessive daytime sleepiness.

If you are so sleepy during the day....you may have narcolepsy or EDS (excessive daytime sleepiness)....
definitely get it checked out...

I just showed him your responses and he said he uses the vaseline to "seal" the pillows...not because his nose is sore. Is there any evidence that vaseline helps "seal" the pillows?? "hopefully throwing away the vaseline jar and buying new pillowcases" Amy p.s. that is a great point about breathing ...

A MSLT is not a definitive test for narcolepsy? I had one done and found that I went into REM sleep in less than 5 minutes in 4 out of 5 naps....and I dreamed in those naps too. I thought that was pretty definitive. Plus, I get this weird feeling in my hands---they go weak..usually in response to su...

wow---great tip!!! That would be a LOT less messier than vaseline. Do you put the chapstick on the outside of the nostrils only--or do you kind of sweep it around the edges of the inside of the nostril? Sorry--I want to give DH accurate instructions..... I can't WAIT to throw away the vaseline! I al...

OK...speaking of noses....my DH wears the nasal pillows....and slathers them with vaseline before putting them in his nose. I know his C-pap is medically necessary....but is the vaseline necessary? he says that the respiratory therapist told him to do it. It is ruining our pillowcases...the oils in ...
