Thanks so much! I am going to print and send that with my files. I just need the Dean to believe that this contributed to my stress, and eroded my ability to handle stress. Hopefully, he will. Its hard because I blamed myself completely so looking for outside reasons hasn't been easy, let alone pick...

a litttle off topic: fin aid appeal
So a few years ago I bombed out of college. By bombed I mean that I stressed out and ran as fast as I could away from campus. ;p I'm making jokes but it is serious. I was stressed and tired. My blood pressure was up, and my pcos was raging. Also, I had sleep apnea. I was constantly tired, and consta...

blarg - I am sticking with it, in fact I was so pleased with the way I felt this morning. It really is getting easier, but never the less I am going to hit Target tonight for those shapeable pillows. I love you for that suggestion. Also I am going back to lincare tonight to make her open up some mor...

This is why I love this forum. Today makes one week for me and I have been experiencing the same thing. In fact this morning is the morning I realized it didn't matter. I did some readjusting my machine last night and went to sleep almost immediately, and woke up two hours before my alarm, and i act...

Week one almost over.
So on thursday it will have been one week. I hate to whine, but I am having such a hard time. FIRST I feel as though I'm not getting enough air sometimes, so I don't use the ramp function anymore, and that helps, but now someone on the forum suggested that the cflex function causes breath stacking w...

I don't know about everyone else, but when I was set up with my machine she purposely showed me how to work around the menu and the set up, and told me that she didn't like the idea of a patient not being able to control their therapy. She explained everything to me very well. It will only have been...

Hey I will have had my cpap for a week on thursday night and I have to say, I have been fighting it too. The first night the same thing happened to me. I woke up around 6am (I didn't go to sleep until around 4 ^^ I keep weird hours) and my nose hurt so much! I then drifted in and out of sleep for an...

Jackr - I don't have anything that complex set up yet. I just got it yesterday. But even so, I live in Baltimore City, and we don't get a lot of extreme weather here. We didn't even lose power during the last hurricane. Eventually I would like to set something like a backup battery up though. Thanks...

Re: Electrical Safety
My user manual also did not say anything about grounding, but the person who set me up made sure I was told so. I'm thinking it has to do with general safety and maybe older policies regarding machines that do need grounded outlets? A blanket policy I guess. Thanks! Well I'm no expert (But I do cali...

Thanks so much. I really do feel better about using my machine now. I'm also glad to hear its a good one! I had no idea, I'm really new to this. Hi Lyss, Like Rick said all the other appliances in your house are working ok, and you have plastic and rubber touching you, it's not like you'll be holdin...

I hope I have a good enough nights sleep as well. It would be the first in a long time. I have heard of all three, but its good to know about the ointment. My machine has a smart card, but I don't know enough about that right now. I was told that it could be used to notify my doctor of my progress. ...

Thanks so much! Thats what I was thinking but I wanted to get a few outside opinions before I took the maiden voyage. I worried less about my computer when I was plugging it in! Even so, my uncle is coming over on Monday to take a look at my outlets and help me with that. I guess I'm just kind of ex...

just got my machine
I just got back from the office. My machine is a REMstar PRO M Series. Its small, and quiet etc. I told her my concerns about my sleep study and being told I couldn't sleep on my stomach. The woman who performed my sleep study also told me that my mask would probably be the same as the one I used th...
