Travel CPAP

I was wondering if anybody recommended a travel CPAP unit over another? I have a REMStar Plus (if I remember corrrect) currently which is a bt bulky to travel with. I also tend to sleep on a sailboat in the summer time and would like a travel unit to keep on the boat and run off battery. I saw an AP...

Did somebody mention the ability to search? My vote is NO based on the same reasons most other NO votes are added. However, it would be very useful to be able to search topics for things. It would eliminate people submitting the same question over and over again. Is there already a way to do this?

Nasal Aire II and Congestion

Does anybody use the Nasal Aire II pillows and get leaks? When I get a leak I actually feel like I unblock the congestion in the nostril that is leaking. Sometimes I feel like I have to reposition so I get a slight leak and my congested nostril opens up. I just wondered if anyone else has experience...

I agree with Xian. I use a nettie pot and let gravity flush the allergens from my nose and usually have very good results. I get post nasal drip pretty bad sometimes and this helps with that as well as the congestion. Give it a couple more tries and see if it helps.

So my machine should have had at least three checks by now since I've had it for two years. Is this something I can do or will I need to have my DME perform this service?

Wow are you kidding me? The manual made it seem like a true communications port. I can get that info from the LCD screen. I would like to monitor all the good stuff other users on this forum monitor so I can objectively (rather than subjectively) tell if I am getting good sleep. As an example, I fee...

REMStar Plus and Encore Pro Software

Everybody, I have a REMStar Plus unit with a serial number greater than 3000000. This means that the communications port can be used with Encore Pro software supposedly. My question really is what I need to obtain the software and the communication cable. I also just noticed that Encore Pro v1.6i do...

Yeah that's what I thought. Thanks for confirming this. My belief is that I should sleep better now that the pressure setting is correct but it does make you wonder -- what else did they screw up when they set up the machine? I also wonder that now that I've used it with this setting for two years n...

Elevation Settings

Hey everybody, I've been having trouble recently with my CPAP machine and was not getting good sleep. I went into my configuration settings of my REMStar Plus and checked them out after having it for two years. Well someone screwed up since the elevation setting was set to 2 which is for elevations ...

Sonapillow

Has anybody tried this new pillow called Sonapillow? I ordered one after reading about it in Menshealth magazine. I have had problems with stiff neck as well so I thought it might be helpful all around. Just curious if anyone else has tried it and what they thought?

So what you are telling me Wulfman is that I would have to purchase a new machine to do this? My DME is probably the worst around and I have had nothing but trouble with them (hence my search for a new supplier online). This does not surprise me but since I just paid off this machine I am not planni...

Numbers

Hey everybody, I notice on a lot of posts people talking about their numbers. I am assuming that this refers (in part) to the software that monitors sleep factors? I have been on CPAP for a while now but have no "numbers" and do not know how to obtain them withouth going for another sleep study. Is ...

Thanks everybody for your input. I went back to my Nasal Aire II mask last night and feel much better today. I agree with all of you that if I continue to experiment with the Swift I will find a way to make it work. However, I also agree that if my provider is not able to suppy the Nasal Aire II any...

Mirage Swift Nasal Pillow Leaks

Has anyone else had trouble with the Mirage Swift system leaking or now staying on your head? My equipment provider switched from the Nasal Aire II and no longer supplies since everyone supposedly prefers the Mirage Swift. I do like the ease of putting it on compared to the Swift and the light weigh...
