So the saga continues. Humidifier went out on me the last weekend in June. They "repaired" it again. I've consulted an electrician. Voltage runs a constant 117. Wiring is tested and found to be done correctly. Installed a GFCI (not likely to make any difference, but it is one more piece of protectio...

And I'm back again. No, I don't (yet) have a surge protector. And this time they are looking at the power situation (since my problems seem to be a little more frequent than the norm). Seems strange to me that such a thing might be the problem, but y'all are suggesting it too so it could be. But why...

Time for me to jump back in. The last replacement I had went until about May 16 - two and a half months - before it died. DME decided to try to repair it this time. Picked up the repaired unit on Fri May 25. It worked for a couple hours that night but the light was blinking when I woke up on the 26t...

Wifeishappynow...thanks for the expansion on your thoughts. Some good ideas in there that I hadn't considered. Ah, the wisdom that we gain from forums like this! This month, the DME opted to replace the entire unit again (cpap, humidifier, power supply, etc). Still reporting that they aren't seeing ...

So, it has been about a month and guess what? Yep, my humidifier stopped working again. Catching up on a couple of the previous posts... Yes they replaced the unit. No they didn't replace the power supply this time - they did last time when the swapped out the entire unit (since everything works fin...

Let's see if I can catch up with the questions. RestlessRoper, As far as I know, the replacements have all been new. They've been wrapped and sealed, but I suppose they could always reseal used/reconditioned equipment and I wouldn't be able to tell. Linda3032, Yes, I'm using distilled water (always)...

M-series humidifier stops working
I have a Respironics Remstar M-Series Plus. Have been using it since October 2006. Went through the leaky water tank problem (resolved) and now have another one I'm hoping you can help with. About every 4-5 weeks, my humidifier stops working. When I turn on the machine at night, everything appears f...
