Re: buying a used M-series auto cpap

First night with new machine went well. A-flex at 1 was annoying as my masked (resmed mirage activa) moved too much. I hit the a-flex button to 2 and that was better. Slept great, as usual. Nice, quiet little machine.

Re: buying a used M-series auto cpap

Made the purchase... Got the unit home and messed around with the settings. My other cpap is at 13, so I set the new one on 13 to 15, turned all the alerts off and turned on a-flex. I'm assuming c-flex and a-flex are the same feature, depending on which mode the machine is in (auto or reg cpap) It h...

Re: buying a used M-series auto cpap

Thanks for the responses.. I found how to get into the settings of the unit, so I guess I'm gonna purchase one...

Why did Respironics discontinue the Mseries? They are SO small, and I'm a motorcyclist and this will be perfect for long trips.

10 years ago I put on my first CPAP system and I struggled too. The whole, "I gotta do this the rest of my life" thing was big for me. I also struggled with getting to sleep and fighting the exhaling into the mask against the airflow (it was set on 7 initially)... I tried a couple of different masks...

Thanks for all the info, folks... I appreciate it. I'm a computer geek, so getting a new unit that can record data and dump it into my computer via a smart card is COOL! My coverage is DEFINITELY HMO via Great West..... Anyway, I'm sitting here asking myself, "Why are you still awake? Get to bed"......

Thanks for all the replies folks... I do NOT have the original sleep study results.. I had Kaiser Permanente back then and shortly after I got my CPAP, my employer ditched Kaiser and went with another insurance company. Seeing how I didn't really use Kaiser except to get my CPAP, I didn't get my rec...

10 years with a CPAP, just had another sleep study done.

Hi all, New to the forum. I was diagnosed with apnea about 10 years ago and have been using a CPAP machine every night since. My job has changed numerous times and I still have the same machine (HealthDyne Tranquility Quest) which was originally set on 7. I manually adjusted the pressure over the ye...
