VitalAire Not too happy with them.

I seem to have bad luck with CPAP Health care providers. Well first off, if you've read my posts previously, I did get my RemStar C-Flex with Pillow Mask and am very happy with the unit. Now comes the un-happy part. I've been dealing with the Mississauga Location in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. The Ca...

Finaly Got New Machine: Info & Questions.

Well it was a bit of a long process (mistakes made by doctors office) and finally I have my new Machine and I have updated my Profile to reflect it. My Pressure settings have changed from 7 to 10, but I believe this is due to the 20 Pounds I've gained in the past 6 months, which I'm working on losin...

Re: Anyone had success from surgery?

My Wifes uncle had the Pallet (SP?) type of surgery and now he has to be careful when he eats, he has a higher chance of choking on food, you know the kind that everyone says "it went down the wrong pipe".

Just my opinion ... but raising hell is wasted energy you could use instead to treat your apnea. Just get your Rx in hand and shop online and leave those people to suck off of somebody elses life. As long as they co-operate with me and give me my Rx I'll be fine, I'm always nice and calm... even wh...

I hope you are able to get the machine you want. I think having the software is crucial to knowing what is going on and tracking your progress. Best to you, Now this is the tricky part, which I may or may not raise hell about. I drove to Vitale Aire in Mississauga, Ontario and asked about purchasin...

My first Sleep Study, I only had the Nasal one, which is not that big of a problem, just need to be a bit tighter around the mustache area. The reason I purchased the full mask, was because if I was badly congested, or had a cold, my nose was too stuffed up to use with the nasal mask. Shaving is not...

Sleepstudy - To Shave or not to Shave.

I'm going in to get my sleep study... first time was 6 or 7 years ago.

I have a clean trimmed goatee, but I'm considering shaving it to get better results?

What do the men think?

Also should I take my Full Facial Mask with me or just the Nasal one??

I was off work yesterday to get an allergy test, and took the opportunity to get some answers. So here goes. 1. To get a new CPAP Unit from CPAP Provider, I need to get Retested at Sleep Clinic. 2. To get Retested at Sleep Clinic, I need a new referral from my Family doctor because Canadian law says...

Would love to hear from other Canadian members and get their opinion. Too me sounds like I'd have to go through too much hastle to get my machine, I dont mind paying $$$ out of my pocket to get the machine that is best for me rather than decided for me, because that is what the government is willing...

One other thing our health care system pays for $798. But most machines bought in Canada cost $1000 and up so the insurance company pays the balance.

CPAP Equipment and Masks are very expensive here. $300 for Full Facial Mask $150 for the type that covers your nose.

Time for a new machine * Need Advice *

Hi Everyone, I'm due for a new CPAP Machine, my current unit a REMstar + is about 6-7 Years old. I have noticed that it does not provide the normal power as it used to, the air flow seems weaker. Anyways, I now see that REMstar has a few new product lines... I would like to know if some of the featu...
