Re: Twenty years on cpap and now at 19 setting and problems
To those of you who think I should use nasal pillows, I did. The result was air flowing out my mouth even with a chin strap. Nineteen is a lot of pressure. My original post had the question of the mouth pieces made by dentists that move the chin forward and help open the airway. Would this help and ...

Twenty years on cpap and now at 19 setting and problems
In 1994 started out with a pressure of 7 and nasal pillows. Now, all these years later I have a bipap with a setting of 19 with a face mask. The problem I have now is the mask leaking. To get a seal, I have to crank it down on my face so hard it is painful. What other options are there? Will one off...

Pain Pump causing apneic events, need advice
My sleep Dr. upped my pressure to 19 with no help as he suspects the morphine dispensed by the pump through a catheter to my back is the culprit. Many apneic events occur each night. He wants to order another sleep study and maybe a different machine. l am having no luck getting the pain clinic to r...

Re: big trouble with new mask
It may help to know which machine you have. I've read your post a couple of times and was not sure what you meant by the insurance company giving you a mask and not taking it back. Is this a company that mails you stuff or do you go to an office to get it? Most equipment providers will take things ...

Re: big trouble with new mask
What I mean by insurance company is the Providence Health System. I though I would could save on needless Doctor office visits as I knew I needed a new mask. Providence Health System has a division that handles all home medical equipment including cpap machines and accessories. I went to them and th...

big trouble with new mask
It is rare I have to visit this site but have encountered a rough patch as of late. I have been on cpap and now bipap since 1994. I finally had to give up nose pillows due to leaking through the mouth with a pressure of 19. I was fitted with a Resmed Quattro (med size) which would slide up the nose ...

12 volt cord
My four years old remstar pro cpap quite working properly and I now have a new REMstar M series with A-flex. I would like to know if the 12 volt cord from my old cpap will work with my new apap. The cord has a plug that fits into a round 12 volt plug in my RV. Both machines are from the same manufac...

I just joined and have a question
I have used CPAP machines for twelve years now. I have just discovered this forum and am quite impressed. Most of what you talk about is over my head. I found your site while searching for a way to turn my pressure up. After all these years, I am aware when I need the machine turned up. My Dr. recen...
