I have the same problem. And my wife alerted me to the problem. I found my solution by cutting 1/2 of an old headgear and using it as a chinstrap. I loop it around the sides of my current headgear and under my chin using its velco pads to attach it. It hold my mouth closed all night with no strain o...

Look, any time you got low blood sugar - below 60, you got to do something about it. I'm a type 2 diabetic on insulin. I check my glucose level about 5-8 times each and every day. It's that important to me to stay on top of this. With hypoglycemia, you run the opposite problem of diabetes, that is y...

Even from the MicroSoft references, it would appear that the simplest fix would be to uninstall the Encore Pro software and reinstall it again. The software apparently uses SQL Server as its database engine to store your stats. The engine has failed to make the proper links and has generated this er...

Hi John, I too have Type II diabetes. I am now insulin dependent after 12 years of pills as it is a progressive disease. I, too. am a hosehead for the past 6 months, thanks in part to my wife. She finally convinced me and my doctor to do a sleep study after several years. I find the xPAP very helpfu...

I had great experience at my local LinCare office. Very helpful, even provided a card reader and an older version of the ResMed software. The only "problem" part was the resupply - I kept getting a new hose every month and the wrong size mask inserts. Only after my third visit to return the hose and...

Morning Debbie/Atruvirgo; As has been said, you owe it to yourself to get proper treatment. From your posts, it appears that you are (were) a military dependent. If this is the case, you should seek out another doctor for another opinion. Get a copy of your records and get another doctor. Not all ar...

Recently went from Washington DC to San Francisco. I put my CPAP bag on the table for x-ray and the TSA guard yelled out CPAP to a co-worker. Actually she yelled out several times as I waited on the other side of the metal detector for a guard to come over and physically inspect the bag. Finally, I ...

Amen, brother, and well said. I couldn't agree more. There's only one person responsible for your health and that person is you. Everyone else offers suggestions, recommendations and opinions. Some you pay for while others you simply get for free. While the professionals would like you to believe th...

Wow, what a great presentation. This graphic is really informative. I don't want to switch topics but I have to ask after seeing this graphic. I use ResMed, including AutoScan 5.7 software. However it does not present this fine graphic nor any combination of graphics as good as this one. Does anyone...

It's kinda silly really, but it works for me. I'm no spring chicken - thus the 'old' part. I'm here in Virginia. And, my hobby is amateur radio, (i.e., "ham" radio). Hence, the "OldVaHam."

Love the thread by the way.

I've been using LinCare for the past six months because my doctor faxed my prescription to them. In my first visit, they set me up with a ResMed Escape, mask, a travel bag and a resupply schedula. O.K. What did I know at the time. Two weeks later and the good people on this site, I went back for the...

I want to thank you all for your comments. I tried the pillow tip on my side of the bed and I seem to be doing better. At least until my wife came in and took it away for her use! I have to try that one again because for the hour or two it was good breathing.

Again thanks,

Ken

Want to get lower AHI's

Good Day, all: I've been a visitor to this site since I started on CPAP for just about six month. My sleep study and titration was done last Nov. and Dec. with AHi's starting at 62 and increasing to 97 during the night. Since starting CPAP therapy, I've been showing AHI's averaging about 12 and for ...
