I have the same problem too with the resmed unit I have. I also bought a used unit on the cpap auction via cpap.com. This unit is Puritan Bennett's Goodnight 420e which is an auto cpap. I love this unit and can hardly tell its on. Sometimes I have to check for moving air and a light in the control u...

Terry B, I would try the polident strips with your chin strap and then give the ComfortLite 2 a try. I am a side sleeper and have found this mask to work very well for me on my side. I also use a hose hanger under the mattress to manage the hose over my head, which also helps as I turn side to side....

Silverde, Welcome to the forum....now you can get the help you need. I also agree with the increased pressure, try for I would say a least 1 week before making more changes. Also see if your wife still observes you not breathing. In regards to your other post about your AHI....usually below 5 is con...

Aeroscout,
You may also want to view my thread on modifications I did with this mask to make it perfect: Search for "New CL2 modifications" There are pictures posted showing the teflon tape and other stuff as well. Just for your information. Hope it helps.

I know you said the leak was where the mask goes on the ball joint at the rt angle elbow but here's something else to consider which happened with mine and also some others in other threads. Mine leaked where the elbow joint connects to the vertical tubing (the turn and lock joint). I fixed it with ...

Hi all.....very sad article indeed. Let me see if I can clear up a few things after reading many of your responses and concerns. I am a fellow CPAPer and also a recovery room nurse. I deal with OSA patients everyday. I'll and tell you how we deal with patients with a history of sleep apnea or have c...

Welcome Dog Face..Glad to hear you are having such great success. If you haven't needed the chin strap so far you probably won't. I too thought I had become a mouth breather, snoring, gasping, snorting and coughing, dry mouth etc., but once on CPAP and getting the air I needed all that stuff just di...

Comfort curve

Here's my 2 cents on the CC mask. I bought this mask to use as a second mask or alternative to switch to every now and again. First night fiddled with the headgear, both the foam and gel cheek pads for over 2 hours and also adjusting the angles of the cheek pads. I am a very persistent person and wa...

I agree with Rested Gal, Linda and Slinky. I'm 4 months into this now, started with FF mask too. Suffered through first 3 months with leaks and stiff neck probably due to much of what has been mentioned here. The head gear strapped behind the neck was a killer for me, leaving me stiff and sore and f...

Just adding my input too.....Got the delux kit on Wed and used now for 3 nights (getting ready for my 4th) and love it. Very relaxing, using 2-3 drops and not too strong for me. Having lots of dreams and seem to be getting deep sleep, feeling very rested. Last night got 9hrs uninterupted. A first fo...

Are you using the resmed data card reader or trying to use a generic multi card reader we use for all of our other electronic gadgets? I was told by CPAP.com that only a resmed card reader could be used. So not only buying the software was needed but also the card reader too.

Thanks all for your words of praise.....this all is still new to me only 4 months now, but very absorbed in it as it has made me a new woman. I am a true success story. I love to share my ideas and don't believe in reinventing the wheel twice. My only question now is why we all are spending well ove...

Linda B....I tried the top and bottom slots on the headplate and I was getting too much slippage of the whole headgear, tried 2-3 nights and went back to this configuration. Just seems to work better and stay on my head better. Hope it works for you!

New CL2 Modifications

I presently am successfully using the Comfort Lite 2 with the simple cushion. I am mostly a side sleeper and like having the sides of my face free, with no part of the interface jamming into the pillow, causing loss of seal. Unfortunatley like many of you this success has not come without many modif...
