New to CPAP - Is this normal??

I have had my CPAP for about one month now, but through trial and error I am on my 3rd mask and have only had it for about 1 week now. All I can stand is about 4-5 hours with the mask and then I take it off and give up for the night so I won't loose anymore sleep. The FF mask fits well and does not ...

Here is my feedback....... I had a great experience last night with one of the FF masks I took home, I kept it on for 5 hours (which is a record for me). I tried on 3 masks.....Fisher & Paykel - FlexiFit HC431 Full Face Mask, Respironics - ComfortFull 2 Full Face, and Resmed - Ultra Mirage Full Face...

Hello....I am struggling with the same issue as you. Very petite face and now I have to move to a full face mask. I agree with you about what keeps you going. I lasted 4 hours one night and I have never felt better the next morning. I was so much more alert and did not feel sleepy during the day. That is what keeps me going...if I felt that good on 4 hours then I can only imagine what I would feel like after 8 ...

Hello! I am in the same situation too. I have had my CPAP machine for about 3 weeks now. I am on my second mask, second chin strap and can't keep it on for more than 2 hours a night. I have no idea if this is normal, but the only way this is working for me is to ease myself into the whole process. H...

Wow....I can't belive you are getting such great results so quickly. Consider yourself lucky. I have had my machine for 3 weeks now and I have been through 3 masks and 2 chin straps and can only handle the machine for about 1 to 2 hours a night until I start mouth breathing or my face gets irritated...

Thank you for your help. I am going to keep trying to make this work. My RT suggested today we try a different chin strap and more humidity before moving on to the full face mask. I hope it works!
