Give two-factors a day or two and check back. The website indicated that they had one in stock the day I ordered mine. A couple of days later it indicated they had over 40 in stock.

Tomjax, I have not been around the forum long enough to know who you mean when you say, "[s]ome on this forum seem to enjoy picking a fight with others," nor have I yet seen you targeted by "the arrows of a very predictable select few." On the other hand, other than posting a response to the article...

I don't have the Soyala FF mask, but have noted that the German website for Soyala has the FF mask with two different cushions....one for higher pressures than the other. Sounds like the cushions for the higher pressures are stiffer. Since I have not yet seen a US seller offering the Soyala FF mask ...

Tony, Most UPS (uninterruptible power supply) units made for computers have an alarm that emits a loud series of beeps when the power shuts off. We ended up with a spare APC brand UPS and have had it hooked up to my wife's CPAP for a couple of years. If the power goes off during the night, it wakes ...

Good doc visit

I went for my first followup appointment with the sleep doc this morning, after the first two weeks on my BiPAP. He downloaded the information from the card and printed out a report. After having an AHI of 83.9 during my sleep study, the report showed an AHI of 4.1 since I've been on the BiPAP. I fo...

Encore Pro

I understand that the Encore Pro software (version 1.5?) was once available for free download from the Respironics website. Does anyone know whether that version is still available for download anywhere on the internet? Thanks.

What's best for higher pressures

I've been a hosehead for two weeks now, and am feeling better already. I'm on a BiPAP, with pressure of 23/19. I have tried three different nasal masks (Profile Lite, Activa, and Dreamfit) and one full face mask (a Respironics model at the sleep lab) so far. I cannot envision using a full face mask,...

Lisa,

My wife and are both hoseheads, living in southwest Houston. With the number of sleep labs around here, there are bound to be hundreds more of us in town. I'd be interested in an AWAKE group.

Dry-mouthed newbie

I've been on my BiPAP for a week now, and find that I wake during the night and in the morning with a really dry mouth -- cheeks and inside of lips stuck to gums, tongue stuck to roof of mouth kind of dry. I'm using a nasal mask, but I know I'm not mouth breathing (any more) because I've been taping...

I've only been a hosehead for a little less than a week, but at a BiPAP setting of 23/19, the Puritan Bennett Dreamfit nasal mask has been working well for me so far, with no leaks. I started off using a Respironics Profile Lite, but was getting some leakage at the sides of my nose. I did not try th...

Congratulations on the engagement! I guess I contributed to your housing fund when I bought my Remstar Bipap Auto earlier this week.

Thanks for helping me with the mask exchange yesterday. It was nice to meet you in person!

Looks like we'll be going through the learning curve at the same time, oneco....I just got my bipap home today after having the two studies last Thursday and Friday nights. Lucky for me, cpap.com is located around the corner about a half mile from my house. I'm apparently at the high end of the spec...
