Looking to make a Frankenstien mask and need some help

I'm don't know if anyone has tried this before but I'd like to try and combine two masks. I am looking for a "Y" adapter that will allow me to connect two masks to my CPAP machine. Obviously this is a project of frustration as I can't find a mask that suits me. I have tried Nasal pillows, full face ...

Software / Smart Card questions

I am looking to get a machine that collects data so that I can improve the quality of my treatment. After hours and hours of research I still have two questions. 1) Can you get software for the Respironics machines? 2) Do you need the software? Meaning, is all of the information available on the lit...

Thanks Rooster! My Hybrid mask now fits and works excellent!

After reading your post on how to modify the cushions and adjust the straps I am one happy camper. I was going to just toss it in the trash but after reading your post I figured that i had nothing to lose so I gave it a try. Glad I did, it is everything I hoped it would be when I bought it. Thanks a...

Thanks everyone

I think I'll go through Rooster's process and maybe even add the Benzoine for good measure. I love the design of this mask, I just need to get it to fit. Thanks again everyone! I'll report my success, or lack thereof, in a few days.

Hybrid mask question

Does anyone have any tips or tricks for fitting the hybrid mask? I've tried all the combinations of pillows and cushions but I just can't get a good seal.

Itchy nose question

OK, I don't know if this one has been asked before. I have a full face mask and for the most part it is pretty comfortable. But ... I wake up several times a night with an itchy nose and I have to peel off the mask to do so, and then re-attach it again. Does anyone have a solution to the itchy nose ...

I made a hose hanger

I simply put an eye bolt into the wall with a looped spring that the hose runs through. I did this just as a test, and so far I am very happy with it. But due to complaints from my wife, I'll be putting something a little more decorative up real soon.

I have the heater/humidifier set at 2.5 and the hose heater at 3. I have my hose hanging from over my bed so all the rainout floods right down into my mask. It is so severe that I get enough water to actually break the seal on my mask. Room temperature is set at 65.

Anyone in here usa a Fisher & Paykel HC604 CPAP?

This is the Fisher & Paykel model that has the heated hose. My question is this; how warm to the touch does the hose get? When I first received my machine a little over a month ago the hose got noticably warm to the touch. Now I don't feel a thing when I touch it. I am getting a lot of rainout at ni...

Snoregirl

Snoregirl, My original setup that was paid for by my insurance included the Swift. After using it for 30 days I told my doctor I didn't like the Swift. He said to keep it and he issued me a full face mask to use. I am guessing that he either had the insurance on the Swift, or claimed it as defective...

I used the Swift

I toss and turn a lot in my sleep, plus I mouth breath, so I switched to a full face mask. I had to wear a chin strap with it which I really hated, and it shifted out of position every time I rolled over. But the Swift was very comfortable and quiet for me. If I could learn to stay in one position a...

Yet another mask question for the forum

How many of you have more than one mask? I started with a Swift nasal pillow and when the doctor switched me to a Resmed Ultra Mirage Full Face Mask he let me keep the Swift mask. I only have two nights on my new mask but already I am thinking about buying a hybrid mask and possibly even a Resmed Mi...

I have the same issue

I am assuming that you are using some type of a nasal system. I was using the Swift nasal pillows and a chin strap. Even with the strap as tight as I could stand, due to an over bite I would still leak air out my mouth. I was going to try a football mouth guard to block the air flow. Adding another ...

Face mask recommendations please

I finally got my triation results from my doctor. I've been pretty disappointed in my progress so far but after todays visit I feel a bit of optimism. My doctor was pretty upset that the DME guy gave a CPAP machine without any settings. He was even more upset that I was simply given a mask without a...

What questions should I ask my sleeep doctor?

I am going in Thursday to see my sleep doctor to get the results of my triation study. Also, I hope to finally get the settings for my CPAP machine, it was issued to me 4 weeks ago with just the default settings. I have a little over 200 hours on my CPAP machine and in the absence of any information...
