DON'T GIVE UP! I sympathize with you situation. I returned from the sleep study with a Comfort Gel, two different sized Nasal-Aires and a Simplicity mask. To get the Comfort Gel to fit I found my teeth would ache (and continue aching the next day). I couldn't tolerate the nasal pillows of the Nasal-...

traveling with bipap questions
For anyone who has gone on vacation with your cpap, do you bring the humidifier with you? I keep the heat to a pretty low level and don't turn the heat on at all during the warmer months. It sure would be more portable to leave that part home. No heating unit, no water tank, no distilled water - you...

Don't rule out cpap yet! I had my tonsils out at 5 and experienced some complications resulting in a 2 weed hospital stay. Several years later I had lung surgery - trust me I understand claustrophobia. Fortunately, the lab where my sleep study was done (and my doctor) took all of this into considera...

THANK YOU! I had installed an earlier beta version for use with Encore 1.5 but the version that you provided did the trick! I realize how frustrating it can be when people ask the same questions over and over again without reading previously posted data, but I was running out of options. As it stand...

Sorry, my last post was as "guest" - I've reinstalled and rebooted a few times but at least I have moved up the error message food chain. I no longer have the server does not exist or access denied message; now I get a request for a password. As I stated in my first post, I did not submit a password...

Now that I have been using my bipap every night for the last nine months, I'm finally ready to try and understand the software aspect of my treatment. After downloading the Encore Pro software, I took the leap and ordered a card reader from the suggested website - and now I'm ready to consume data. ...

Thanks for all the great information. I downloaded the Encore Pro software and I just want to get this straight, all I need to do now is order a smart card reader? Is http://www.2factors.com the site most of you have used? It sounds good to me...
Again, thanks for the advise.

Are you looking for information on untreated apnea and how that has affected people’s lives, or are you looking to study compliancy after being diagnosed? Excuse the hyperbole but treatment will often give a patient their lives back. I was fortunate – I adapted very quickly and do not dread putting ...

My insurance company paid 100% for everything! I was suspicious of their generosity but later when I read the statement breaking down what was paid to the DME I was taken back on the discrepancy between what the DME was charging (similar to cpap.com) and what the insurance company has contracted to ...

warm weather
Has anyone else been having a hard time sleeping with the recent warm weather? I'm okay with the heat - it's just sleeping in the heat with a mask on that's getting old. While I have air conditioning at home, I've been staying by the ocean most of the summer and I hate to give up open windows and se...

I was lucky - they sent me home with the mask I used during the titration and the other three that I had tried on while being fitted! With my bipap machine I received another but the first one I tried on is still my favorite. The tech that did my sleep study was wonderful and I see now that it made ...

insurance question
Feeling great after just two weeks, I have even begun physical therapy for a past injury from which I never fully recovered. As I read through many of the posts, a reoccurring theme is the cost of treating OSA. My insurance company has been great -- a little too great -- and that makes me just a tad...

turning the bipap off
This seems to be an idiot questions, but... The off/on button on my machine either fully engages it or leaves in on standby. In the morning what do most people do? To turn it off fully I would need to unplug it.
Sincerely,
A "recovering" napper
