I think they are very good outlines. When I had surgery in March, I was permitted to bring my mask and headgear, but the hospital provided the machine in the recovery room and after my surgery as well.

now onto your choice of surgeries.. you picked the lap band.. any particular reasons why? i was always leaning more towards Roux-En-Y for some reason... I had initially been considered for the RNY and had gone for an attempt on 9/28/2005, but when I was opened up, they had found a rare condition th...

My CPAP pressure right now is set at 10, and the only way to go from here is down. The nice thing about that as far as the hospital was concerned was I only had to take my head gear and mask; they had a machine ready for me in the recovery room post-op and of course in my room once I got upstairs. W...

Lap band surgery update...

After nearly three years of going back and forth to have WLS done, the day finally arrived last Thursday, March 22, when I had my lap banding surgery done. I was discharged from the hospital Friday night, and I did a lot better with this than I did when my appendix was taken out 18 months ago. I'm a...

Mine don't chew things, but to them, EVERYTHING is a toy, which is why I put the mask and hose away in a cupboard during the day and the machine is tucked away out of the reach of little paw paws during the night while it is on. I remember when I first got my machine, my four year old orange tabby g...

I don't touch the one on my cable box for that reason...lol. My luck, like if I would touch anything on the CPAP, I'd blow it up too! I tend to be a "technotard" when it comes to certain things; better to leave them alone in my case. _________________ CPAPopedia Keywords Contained In This Post (Clic...

ROFL!!!! Good point! But you know, speaking of all things smelly, I can't even tell if the cats "used" the box during the night until I take my mask off in the morning. Sometimes, it isn't so bad...others, it would wake the dead and I wished I left the mask ON!

Top creative uses for a CPAP machine (humor)

Credit: ASAA Message Boards Think a CPAP machine only has one use? Others have thought of more creative ways to make their machines more fun: Cooling your wife off when she has a hot flash. Drying finger nail polish. Blow drying the bird after its bath. Inflating balloons. Turning the bathtub into a...
