Dont give up -- i take an antidepressant in the morning and an antianxety at night. I try to keep a calm down routine at night. Wash my face, brsh my teeth, come to chat rooms, or read, or watch some documentary tv, take my night med and then off to bed. I slept through the night on my titration nig...

Love it

I have had my mirage swift pillows for about a month. I used them in my titration test and requested them with my machine through the technician. I love it. I do find it off my face some times, not often, but I love how it does not cover my face. I am claustrophobic.

Hang in there!

I have been to my follow up visit and I have found great relief from my cpap. I am so grateful for the sleep and less pain from my fibromyalgia. For nearly 5 years i progressively got more tired and life became painful both physically and emotionally. I was a mess and one point was becoming less and...

I have a resmed compact s8 with humidifier and have looked at the clinical menu and cant see any data about my ahi. I am on a rental machine right now -- while I like it I would like to know if it is helping. I do know that I am not as tired as I was two weeks ago and that My energy level is increas...

nasal irritation

I also have the nasal sores. I was told I could use any non greasy lotion or KY gel. I was cautioned about using vaseline cause it could keep from making a seal and it would harden the nostril pillows. I am new to this hose head life and dont have the answers.

Try setting your humidifier higher. I have only been on my machine for four nights and have found my maximum setting and dont have the dry nose. Last night i had more moisture I needed. So tonight I will lower it a bit.

maybe a different mask?

I do not like to have my face covered. The night i had my cpap study done, the technician let me try on three kinds and i walked around with them on to see how i felt with them. I ended up with the swift nasal pillows and dont feel at all smothered or closed in. I am glad I had the chance to play wi...

three nights and counting ---

I got my pap machine on Wednesday and felt great on Thursday compared to how I have been feeling in the past four & 1/2 years. This has been a long journey and am glad that I can see sleep at the end of this tunnel. Now Thursday night was a rough night of sleep, not because of the pap machine, but b...

oops - plm is the leg and arm movements. Not sure what we are doing there. I havent heard anything about it except check the apnea and go from there. I suspect my paxil is the big culprit in the plm. we shall see.
