1mg
I've been taking Melatonin for about 5 years and I researched a lot of info on it. As Snoredog stated, stick with the 1mg. if it works for you. For most 3mg is about 10 times too much. Melatonin is different in which a larger dose isn't always beneficial for the best results. I also read that once y...

CPAP Pro mouthpiece mask
I've been on CPAP for over 11 Years and I've tried about every mask on the market. Nothing has worked as well as the CPAP Pro. My provider talked me into an Ultra Mirage (they must have a deal with them). After 2 days I had sores on my nose and a swollen upper lip. After seeing my nose my provider f...

A lot of fellow Apneans can't believe it when I say that its the best thing I've ever used. I've been on CPAP for over 10 years. I've tried lot's of mask and the CPAP Pro is my favorite. I took it to my last sleep study and the tech's had never seen one before. the next morning they said it performe...

Encore Software & Reader / Insurance / DME
My DME told me that they are unable to purchase the Encore Software & Reader from Respironics due to regulations. My Doctor was open to me getting it, but I was told by the DME that they could lose their license if they sold it to an individual. Mainly because it allows you to adjust the pressure th...

Just to clarify about ebay.
I tried selling my Knightstar a year ago on ebay and my auction got yanked saying that I couldn't sell used medical machinery on ebay.

CPAP Pro mouthpiece mask
I've been using the CPAP Pro for about 4 years and I haven't found anything as good in 10+ years on CPAP. When it first came out my Dr. & DME would not endorse it nor would my insurance pay for it. I paid for it with my own money just hoping for relief from sores and strap marks. For some of you new...

Allergic reaction to mask?
I was curious if anyone has had an allergic reaction to nasal pillows or nasal mask? I used a new mask and the next morning the area under my nose broke out into a rash. The mask was new out of the box and washed before using. I've been on CPAP for 10 years with nothing like this before. Fischer Pac...

Encore Software & Reader / Insurance
I was getting information from Apria about the Encore Software and if my insurance would cover it. Apria told me that they have never sold it to a patient and why would I want it? Anyway I talked Respironics and they gave me a HCPC Code for the software & reader (A9279) to give to my insurance provi...

Encore Software & Reader
I was wondering if anyone could clarify or direct me to a link for more info. I just wanted to clarify info on the Encore Software & Reader. If I have purchased the Encore Software I would also have to purchase the Encore Smart Card Reader. I'm only asking because I work in the computer industry and...

Carry On
I've flown 8 times with my CPAP machine and the first 7 times I checked it in inside my luggage. Every time my luggage would get held up for some unknown reason. The last time I flew I brought my CPAP as carry on and my luggage came thru fine.
Maybe just a coincidence?

Lower
I'll have to mention this to my family physcian. The last 5 years I go into my yearly physical and they can't figure out why my blood pressure is low normal. They once hooked me up to a heart monitor(not sure maybe a EKG) just to make sure everything was ok with my heart. Maybe my CPAP is repsonsibl...

What fits
I've been using the CPAP Pro for about 3 years. I've been on CPAP for about 9 years and have tried about 5 different style masks. Yardbird is correct. If you don't boil & bite the mouthpiece correctly it will never work. It eliminated my mouthbreathing problem and I don't have strap marks across my ...

CPAP Pro mouthpiece mask
I'm new to this site and have found it very informative. I have been using a mask for about a year now called the CPaP Pro. It uses a mouthpiece to hold all of the nasal gear in place. I've been on a CPAP machine for about 9 years and this this the best thing that I have found. I'll never ever use a...
