Re: I've tried everything and nothing helps. Any tips?
You're experience really echoes mine. I've had several sleep studies inclduing an MSLT. According to my doctor and my machine, my apnea is being well controlled. I've seen numerous other doctors over the past 6 years to investigate other potential issues but no silver bullet has come up. I wake up e...

Re: Five Years and No Improvement
Thanks everyone for the advice! I've actually had a lot of blood work done and as someone mentioned Low-T has been an issue> I had gone on therapy for that prior to CPAP and didn't show any improvements. I just started trying it again so maybe that with CPAP will finally show some improvement. Keep ...

Five Years and No Improvement
Hi All. I've been on CPAP for nearly 5 years. I've yet to feel better for even a day. I wake up tired and my energy level goes down from there. My sleep doc's only suggestion has been to adjust my pressure. I've been able to get my AHI to about 1.5 for the past few years. I tolerate the treatment we...

Re: How Many Sleep Studies Have You Had?
Thanks for all the great reponses! I feel I've been very proactive in my treatment. I've been lurking on this forum ever since I was diagnosed and made sure to get a data capable machine. I've used it to monitor my AHI and adjust my pressure accordingly. I've never gotten to the mystical 0.0 but I'm...

How Many Sleep Studies Have You Had?
Pretty simple question for all of you. How many sleep studies have you had over the years? I've been on CPAP for almost 4 years with very little improvement in my fatigue. Every time I meet with my sleep doc, his only suggestion is to adjust my pressure or schedule another sleep study. So far I've h...

Re: Time for Surgery?
I have the software and reader. I've used several different masks. The software shows my apnea is under control. My AHI hovers between 1.0 and 2.0. I had a followup sleep study while on CPAP and my doctor was satisfied that nothing else was going on while I slept. None of the doctors I go to have be...

Re: Time for Surgery?
Thanks for the thought. I've actually been on Lexapro for over a year now. My psychiatrist has tried a number of different antidepressants without much luck. The Lexapro helps me with anxiety but I still feel tired and crappy.

Time for Surgery?
I've been on CPAP for almost two years now. According to the data collected by my machine and a follow on sleep study conducted by my doctor, the CPAP is effectively treating my sleep apnea. Yet, I still feel like crap every day. I've been on provigil and various stimulants. I've been tested for a b...

Thanks for all the advice. Let me elaborate a little and answer some of your many questions. I'm currently using the hybrid mask set as I do mouth leak. My pressure is set at straight at 10. I started initially on APAP but didn't like it. My doctor had me set at 9 and after my last sleep study sugge...

Why am I still tired?
The few threads I've started here have all had this same theme. More time passes and yet I'm still tired all the time. I've been on CPAP for 14 months now. At no point during these 14 months have I felt any improvement in my day time fatigue. My AHI consistently hovers around 2.0. My leak late is co...

Other Causes for Tiredness
After almost 8 months on CPAP, I still don't feel any improvement in my daytime fatigue. My AHI is under 2.0. I brought printouts to my Sleep Doc and and he agreed that I should be feeling better by now. He's scheduled another sleep study to see if there's something else that could be going o now. S...

Still Tired?
I've been on CPAP for 6 months now. My AHI averages under 2.0. My leak rate is well within normal for my Swift. I sleep through the night with little interruption. I am still tired! I was relieved with the apnea diagnosis. I thought I'd finally start feeling better. I didn't want to be a hose head f...

Who doesn't use a humidifier?
I'm just curious how many people don't bother with the humidifier. I used mine for the first month or two and then went on travel. I didn't want to worry about finding distilled water so I left the humidifier at home. I found that I felt very little difference in comfort level and if anything it imp...
