The body (throat) must "learn" also...

I have the Optilife
..and love it! I am new to this and couldn't get a regular mask to stay comfortable thru the night. I tried the CL2 nasal and had decent success with it. I started getting leaks, esp. when I would side sleep. The Optlife has been great. Lightweight, and no leaks.......OK, when I roll over, I tweak t...

Humidifier
New to this and again, good stuff here. I have a choice on my Remstar machine for humidity....0-5. Is there a "typical" setting that most use? Benefits to high vs. no humidity? I can't decide whether my nose likes humidity or not. Been fighting a head cold, so I can't tell which is better.

wow
thank you for the responses. I was tested and origianally set at 13. At that high pressure, I seem to get air in my stomach. I moved and have been paying for this and dealing on my own. It seemed like the first go-round, my apneas were handled well between 6-8, so I set it for 4-11. Maybe i do need ...

I am so new to this that I shouldn't even be allowed to post! I will say that I had a hard time with the CL2 nasal pillows and tried the Optilife. Somewhat better, BUT, I read here to use a gel and I bought Balmex skin protectant from Walmart. Sure does make the nose happier. Mike PS, I am trying th...

AHI numbers
First, I have been reading here for awhile now, I have gotten some good information. In CPAP therapy, does your body have to adjust for it to be effective? I just started (again) after getting my machine back from the repair shop after only 3 weeks of use. My numbers before were good, I had trouble ...

Water Drops
I am new at this, 11-06 I got my machine. I have a Remstar S8 W/humidifier. I am using the Elite2 nasal pillows. APAP, min 6 max 10, 90% at 8 or lower. I was getting water (setting 1) in the mask, so I relocated the machine on the floor. Last night, it happened again. I was sleeping on my side and w...
