We have had our bed for about 6 years now, King size w/ pillow top. When we ordered it we also ordered the Select Comfort Box spring which is really a hard plastic platform put together in sections. One for both sides of the bed. I was a little skeptical about it at first, but find the disparity bet...

I have on the UMFF II for 4 months and see no way that it could collapse. The main body is made from a rigid plastic that could withstand any abuse you could throw at it. The two issues that I have with the mask is that 1) I have not figured out how to stop all the leaks, and 2) I am using using the...

As a general rule, I would be against any additional layers of policing on forum. There already exists various layers of policing already. Forum edicate, the members policing themselves, and the moderators themselves to name a few. That having been said, I was disappointed is several threads posted ...

I have found that quitting caffeine greatly helped me fall asleep at a normal time and stay asleep.. and also taking a walk or exercising at night about 2 to 3 hours before I go to bed. Give up coffee!! I'd rather breath through a hose! Seriously, my problem is more stress related I believe. My min...

I have no problems keeping the mask on when sleeping. The problem is staying asleep. Once I am up in the night, I have a tendency to stay up. I am usually up at 3:30 for the day. I average about 5 hours nightly

I have using the UMFF for about 6 weeks. Except for middle of the night leaks I have been impressed with how quiet the mask is. It does vent out the top of nose forward. My wife has not said anything about the exhaust yet. I did once put the exhaust vent in backwards after cleaning which caused the ...

Just to follow up on this thread, I took the S8 Escape and the UMFF back to the DME. They kept the machine about an hour to test it out. It seemed to work fine for them. The DME called ResMed to discuss the problem. They suggested it might be a small whole in the tube. Another possibility could be ...

Seem with enough rental months behind us, our insurance could buy several machines. My DME charged $161.00 for one month on the Escape.[/quote]

The only real problem I have with the mask is that it applies pressure to the area just above my chin. In the morning my lower teeth are sensitive for about an hour or so. I have not found a "sweet spot" in the head gear that will keep a seal but not apply to strong a pressure on my lower gums. The...

Upgrading from ResMed S8 Escape

I got my statement from my DME and found out that the S8 Escape I received is only a rental. I would like to upgrade to something where I can better monitor my treatment, and since I have to return the machine because of mechanical issues The Escape has a card, but I have no reader or software. Any ...
