Encore Pro Analyzer and NRI

Can anyone using EPA tell me what NRI stands for on the graphs?
THanks!

Tanita makes great scales. I've had the same one for about 3 years now. Very accurate with all bells and whistles. Do a search on Google.

Patrick,

Thanks for that... but my question is really more simple than that.

Can the Pro2 be turned into an Auto with a Firmware change? Can an auto be turned into a BiPap?

So there is a difference besides cost, the Auto has the most features and uses a Mass Airflow Sensor (MAS) to monitor and maintain pressures.
Sorry... I meant are there any differences OTHER THAN the firmware on the boxes? Something tells me that it is possible to turn a Pro2 into an auto.

No... I'm simply curious. I just want to know if I could take a pro2 and upgrade the firmware to make it an auto. Does the PCB have a chip on it that looks like it is removable? If it does, then it's possible. I'm sure the factory has a way to upgrade the firmware... I'd like to know how they do it.

Actually, $110 difference (at least at CPAP.com). My question is... if someone has a Pro2, can the firmware be upgraded to make it an Auto?

Remstar Auto and Pro CPAP Differences

Curiosity Question.... Does anyone REALLY know what the differences are between the Remstar Auto vs Plus vs Pro are? How about the M-Series basic vs pro vs plus vs auto? My gut feeling is that (for each of those 2 product lines), the guts of the machines are 100% identical and that the programming f...

FlexiFit HC431 Full Face Mask

The FlexiFit HC431 Full Face Mask was my first mask and had a bit of trouble with it in the beginning (leaks and nose bridge irritation). But now, I have this thing ROCKING. No leaks, no irritation, and this think is ABSOLUTELY Quiet. I simply wipe the mask with down every day with BZK (Benzalkonium...

Weight / Apnea

OK... We all know there is a relationship between weight and Sleep Apnea. My understanding is that those who have Sleep Apnea tend to be over weight (but of course, not always). But, can the reverse be true? That is, can having Sleep Apnea cause weight gain? Has anyone been able to lose weight easie...

Well, my first night going to APAP (or I should say AFLEX), was not too bad. As mentioned, I went 10-15. The machine started up at 10, but it seemed like it was too low of pressure... almost not comfortable. I also noticed in my graphs (for the first time) I showed some FLI (Flow Limitations). What ...

REMstar (non-M) CPAP - New vs Old

Curiosity Question... I've seen 2 slightly different REMstar CPAP machines. I'm talking specifically about the non M-Series. One version has text on the buttons (for heat, ramp and on/off) while the other has symbols instead. Does anyone know if there are any differences between the 2? Also, which o...

Thanks for everyone's help.

I do have the card reader, software plus Encore Pro Analyzer.

I guess the consensus is to try 10-15.

So, by going apap with my machine, I lose the ramp function? No biggie if that's the case.
