CPAP Info for DME

So, I just got a new mask from a new DME. I got my CPAP machine ~2 years ago from DME A. I now have different insurance and got a new mask through DME B last week. I just got a call from DME B asking for my CPAP make, model, serial number, and who I got the machine from. When I asked why, they said ...

Seems to me that you've got something else going on there besides the humidifier. The frequency that you are having problems seems way out of line of what others are seeing...

Re: Aerophagia: May we discuss this again?

2. This aerophagia attack coincided with our pollen season and some allergy problems causing stuffiness. Could this be a factor? I am a mouth breather year round. I find that I swallow more air when my nose is stuffed up. I think that when we swallow, some air is normally pushed out the nose. But, ...

Thanks for the responses! There really are a lot of unknowns with this right now. Since the CPAP rental is monthly, I should be able to hold onto what I have thru the end of the month even if I switch insurance in the middle of the month, right? That would allow me to get a better idea of my new ins...

Changing Jobs/Insurance

I will be changing jobs the middle of next month. With that, I will also be changing insurance. I don't know yet what insurance I will be changing to, but I am currently ~6 months into a 10 or 12 month rental of my CPAP machine. So, I won't make it the full period with my current insurance. My new i...

You are really beginning to bore me. I wish this forum had an "ignore" feature. If you can't figure out how to ignore a post that you don't wish to read, that seems more like your issue than this forum's... What do you have against people that ask questions that are important to them? Isn't that on...

Your insurance pays for any CPAP machine with an HCPCS code. And ANY straight CPAP "or" AutoPAP machine has only one HCPCS code whether compliance data only OR fully data capable. The only other HCPCS code for xPAP machines is one for the bi-level xPAPs. In my experience, it is not always that stra...

Pardon my ignorance, but why are you plugging your nose? Should I be putting Silly Putty up my nose too?

...chance that one of us' xpap machines will go apeshit in the night... Careful or you might upset the wrong person and get your account shut-down...actually, there may be an idea there for a new scent for the Pur-Sleep System! Can you get that into an essentail oil??? you kinda went too far and re...

I agree...we are all adults and can choose for ourselves...so why can't someone ask questions to make an informed decision without people jumping on them? I don't believe anybody has said anything derogatory about anyone or any product, so why not let questions be asked by those who have concerns?

Perhaps I missed it here...but for all those that have tried this, do you actually feel better than previously? I've heard a lot about numbers being better, sleeping longer, etc...but do you notice a difference in the way you feel? I'm assuming the answer is yes, but don't want to put too much weigh...

Thanks for the replies...I knew I'd get some good suggestions. I was taking my mask off, but then I would wake up and put it back on for the most part. So, I don't think I started feeling bad due to that. The first day after raising my pressure 1cm, I woke up very drowsy, similar to when I first sta...
