It was an alert and intelligent nurse that identified my apnea following knee surgery. I was in recovery and my O2 kept dropping. They put an O2 mask on me, but it didn't help much. Finally one nurse noticed that when I would doze off I would stop breathing. She helped keep me awake (not an easy tas...

Tried many masks of various types. Found a couple that I like. The Hybrid is the only one I LOVE. Far and away the best mask I have ever used. Great design. Excellent comfort. Minimal leakage.

I've tried 6 or 7 masks and the Hybrid is absolutely the best I have used. Very few leaks. Very comfortable - I don't have to over-tighten the headgear. I also like that I get the advantages of a full-face mask with a much smaller footprint on my face.

I truly great mask!

+1 here! I can't say enough good things about the Hybrid. I breathe through both nose and mouth (not at the same time ) and the Hybrid allows me to do either with no problems.

I also agree that its design does encourage one to close their mouth.

I too am a mouth leaker. I tried the mouth taping, but I found it very uncomfortable and even a little distressing. I also tried chin straps which kept my chin up, but did nothing to keep my lips closed. I have tried most of the full-face masks avaiable and I currently use the Hybrid. There are some...

So glad that you found a DME that does REAL mask fittings. It makes a world of difference. I originally used Apria and they would take me back into an exam-type room, open the box, show me the mask and send me on my way. Not sure why they need a special room for that. Due to an insurance change I sw...

I had no luck with the email addresses they list on their site for Customer Support and Sales. I called the phone number listed on the site and I was thrilled to be greeted by a real human being! Such a rarity these days. She was delightfully pleasant and very helpful. I was really impressed with th...

I think it really depends on how far away your children are. I have an 8-year old, a 6-year old and a 10-month old baby. Their rooms are just across the hall from mine and it is very rare that I don't hear the baby crying. We also keep the kids' doors shut at night and I still hear the baby when he ...

The 431 is a good FFM; as is the Ultra Mirage. However, I have to echo the sentiments of those above. I was in love with the Hybrid from the first night. A month later and I am still loving it!

CPAP Wish List

I was lying in bed last night just before dozing off and I got thirsty. I opted not to get a drink because I had a great fit and seal going on my Hybrid and I didn't want to mess with it. It got me thinking, "Wouldn't it be cool to have a hole in the mask for a straw at moments like this?" That lead...

I tried the chin strap route and found that while it kept my chin up (no pun intended) my lips would still open just enough to lose pressure. It also made noises that drove my wife nuts! I tried taping for a couple weeks, but I could not handle the feeling of not being able to open my mouth at all. ...

Activa is the mask I wish I could use. I have to use a FFM. but I tried the Activa for a while and it was far and away the best mask I have ever tried. Super comfortable without the need to over tighten. I know others mention the bulk, but I never had an issue with it. I'd say you got a winner of a ...

I have used most of the full-face masks on the market. Some were pretty good. I recently bought the Hybrid and I have been very pleased. I don't need to tighten it nearly as much as the FFMs. It stays put whether I am on my back or my side. Its very comfortable and I love the smaller footprint. Its ...
