Re: Have you ever almost gone psychotic from lack of sleep?
Psychotic? no. Irrationally easy to upset ? yes. Hyper Irritability? You betcha, when I wasn't treating my severe OSA I was really not nice to people. Severely depressed? completely. When I wasn't flying off the handle at people or so depressed I didn't even want to wake up ever again, I was Apathet...

Re: Using tap water in a pinch
I used just tap water for a few years, it works but you will build up scale in the humidifier chamber over time even with daily changing of the water. The best thing I found to clean off the scale and get the hot plate of the chamber clean was to fill the chamber up with white vinegar and let it sit...

Re: A Night in Hospital with CPAP
1. The hose, mask, is all brand new for each patient. (yes they would charge for this as supplies) 2. All equipment is sterilized far more efficiently then you could ever do. 3. This PROTECTS patients, the hospital has control over what is on the floor. 4. Yes YOUR machine may not be filthy, BUT wh...

Re: Did CPAP not work for you but VPAP/BiPAP did?
This was in a clinic Sleep Study. The unit was an Remstar if I remember right this was a month ago or so. https://www.cpap.com/productpage/remstar-bipap-auto-sv-advanced-machine.html I am pretty sure this was the machine. I did wonder if they had something screwed up tbh. I never have had to try to ...

Re: Did CPAP not work for you but VPAP/BiPAP did?
I just did a Bi-pap study about a month ago and my base pressure is 16 and up to almost 18 at times on Apap. I found I couldn't adjust to the way it felt. I have been using Apap/Cpap for 6 to 7 ish years now so maybe I was just too use to pap function. For me the Bi-pap felt like it would prematurel...

Re: How did you know something was wrong?
Sleeping entire weekends away just to get enough energy for the upcoming week. Getting up going to work, eating / drinking all day long for energy, only to come home and go right to bed. Repeat daily, till full weekend sleep fest. Falling asleep typing in client notes at work. Falling asleep on the ...

Re: OT: Moving again
My best wishes to you and your parents. I understand the need to help your parents and commend you for it. To many people don't have the heart or simply don't care about their parents. They put them in homes or other places of private care so they don't have to bother messing up their precious littl...

Only if the bill passes and they are not sure that can get it through. The bill has 26 co-sponsors, including three Republicans, yet police groups still oppose the bill, and Nekritz is not clear whether she has the necessary 60 votes to pass the legislation in the House. “We’ve been engaged in discu...

Re: newbie having pain up inside nose (not nostrils) w/ pillows
Janknitz I love your Swift FX guide it's right on the money. 3. Some people (not me) find that using something on your nostrils helps get a better seal. Use a non-petroluem product like Lanisoh cream, KY Jelly, or Ayr Gel. I think this makes the pillows more slippery and contributes to the problems,...
