Re: Considering purchase of Transcend Auto, looking for feedback
wahooker, My home machine is a PR System One auto with A-Flex. My travel machine has been the Z1 Auto since last October 2014 and prior to that the Z1 cpap. I travel Monday-Friday between 35 and 45 weeks a year via plane which means that I use my Z1 Auto 4 nights a week minimum. Even before but espe...

Re: New Z1 travel machine by Human design medical
Wait a minute. Are you sure that you have to carry the battery and the unit seperately? I'm a Z1 user but ebill is. I hope he responds to this....very interesting! Yes, he is correct. If the battery is left in the powershell it will drain rather quickly and there is a caution to that effect in the ...

Re: New Z1 travel machine by Human design medical
I may have considered a Z1, but I don't believe it will plug directly into the car. (Am I wrong?) Yep, you can buy a 12v adapter for the cig lighter. That's what I use when I bring it camping. My camper has two 12v deep cycle batteries for those times I'm off grid but mostly we have shore power ava...

Re: CPAP and Carry On Travel
I travel every week and use a Z1 Auto and HME for humidification for a couple of years. I slip the machine into my backpack and keep the mask and small power brick , hose and Q-tube in my carryon. I do not find that the mask/hose etc take up much roon because they are so thin....I have a small tuppe...

Re: travel machine advice requested
At some point I want one, just seems like I go on trips enough (at least once a month average), but sometimes in a car. Don't think it would matter much for the car. So thanks for all the info. Yep they're great for planes and camping etc but if you do a lot of car travel then it's no big deal to u...

Re: A question on SoClean 2 CPAP Cleaner and Sanitizer
As I mentioned, I clean my nasal mask with scent free baby wipes each night. For any interested readers, I'm the only one in this thread who actually owns a So-Clean. hegel, Do the wipes remove oils? I use my Soclean2 every night when I'm home. My Eson mask leaks if it is not clean. I usually use w...

Re: travel machine advice requested
I can only speak to the Z1 Auto. It's size is 6.5 x 3.45 x 2.25" and it weighs 10.4 oz. It is very small and light. The "brick" is likewise small and light at 4 x 1.75 x 1.25" plus cables and weighs almost nothing. If you have access to 12v all you would need is their cigarette adapter and no brick....

Re: Travel CPAP questions
Yes, as long as you use a standard size house you can use both of these. The Qtube goes on the output of the machine and then you connect your hose. The HME goes between the mask end of your hose and the Mask. I use an F&P Eson mask. I have recently gone on a trip where I forgot my HME's and what I ...

Re: fault 66 on Z1 auto
I have a message on the Z1 screen this morning : fault 66. If i presse the center button for few seconds a 8.0 appear. The machine doesn't work anymore. Anyone can help me? If you were doing the firmware update......this was in the instructions for the update: "The upgrade will take 1 minute and in...

Re: Android version of Nitelog for the Z1 Auto and new Firmware
No matter which firmware you can choose between APAP-1, 2, or 3. In this latest FW the APAP-2 has been reworked so that the annoyances of APAP-3 are gone and there is a smooth transition for relief. I cannot go back to APAP-3 which I had been using for a year.

Android version of Nitelog for the Z1 Auto and new Firmware
HDM has just released the Android version of Nitelog for the Z1 Auto and a new firmware version with a much improved APAP-2 algorithm. I used to be an APAP-3 guy but I've been using the new firmware since June and I can tell you that the APAP-2 is just perfect for me. No more pressure cutouts of flu...

Work around for lack of humidification while on travel
My wife was complaining that my computer room was messy so I cleaned it up this past weekend and in the process of doing that I threw out a box of my Z1 HME's. Noticed them missing when I went to get one for my trip this week....crap! I cant sleep without humidification. So what I've been doing is r...
