Re: OT:Is Global warming effecting your weather?
Is this relevant to sleep apnea and or the treatment of it? Must everything be politicized? People come here for ideas and help with their treatment. There are plenty of political forums, are there not?

Chin Strap:
I was at times mouth breathing. I would go a long time not doing it, then all of a sudden, I would form a pattern of waking up with dry mouth. I tired taping and I seemed to blow right through the tape. About a month ago, I ordered the CPAP.com chin strap and I've not since experienced the dry mouth...

Surgery that does no good? How many more surgeries might be like this? No wonder health care is expensive?

Sleep Apnea Screenings:
These are being done to determine the need for a sleep study as I understand it. Can anyone share if these are worth while? I am a cpap user and doing fine with it. My wife I suspect might have sleep apnea and I'm wondering if one of the screenings might be a good first step. Thanks.

Re: Anyone else spending Christmas alone?
My wife and I are both here at home, but not for the same reasons. Here in Eastern Nebraska, we have been in a blizzard warning since about Wednesday evening. I think the worst is over but the wind was nasty, caused a lot of snow drifting and closed roads. Almost all Christmas church services for bo...

Insurance and New Machines:
I've just gone past my third cpap anniversary by a few days. I've been 100% compliant I'm happy to say. I'm wondering, is my machine getting high end on hours? When can one expect these items to "crap out" on ya? When typically will insurance go along with a new machine on the average? Also, when I ...

Why Can't I Post?
On my computer at home, I don't seem to be recognized by logging in. Each time I try to post, it handles me like a guest with the code at the bottom that I need to type it. Then it won't let me do that because it says I'm trying to use a user ID already in use. Any ideas why this is happening?

Re: White House wants more power to set Medicare rates
Why do so many think that it is the government that must come to the rescue? Rescue with what, their plan? Why would you want the government in the health insurance business? We don't have a health care problem, we have a funding of health care problem. This plan by Obama will take on health care in...

Re: Sexual Molestation at the Sleep Lab
I agree that true sexual or any other for that matter kind of molestation is not funny. Having said that, I don't think that anyone here has attempted to make light of that. I think that political correctness will ruin this great country unless we all ignore the calls to condemn anything and everyth...

Re: feedback wanted any sleep number bed users
I'm about 3 weeks into my queen dual control model. We purchased one that was a close out model, got it with mattress cover for about $1600. We love it so far. We both have lower back and neck problems, always awakened to pain, but no more. I sleep six solid hours before getting up to pee. That was ...

I'm where you are too, and I've been here for a little over two years. I don't know but I would guess that there are legions of us out here. If you didn't find this forum before all of the sleep study/DME stuff, you wouldn't know. I can honestly say, I've done well though. I rest well and feel great...

Flunesolide and Congestion:
I recently got a prescription for this nasal spray stuff from the VA and wow. This has been life changing. It ended, at least for now, any and all congestion problems that have plagued me for probably all of my life. I am breathing easier all day and at night now wake up only once to pee and that's ...
