I Was listening to the radio and heard an ad for a CPAP Pro - advertised as no mask. The link they provided was nomask.com. It was;interesting - there was a mouth piece that held nasal pillows against the nose. I thought I would mention it in case nay one else had heard of it or had any opinions on ...

Sometimes the thing to remember is that **** flows downhill. If you start at the top and work your way down to the person you need to speak to they are more than happy to work with you to accomplish what needs to be done as soon as possible. That way all the bigwigs above them stay off their backs. ...

I was in DC two weeks ago when all the alerts occurred. I flew that day from Reagan National to ST Louis. I had no problem with carrying my CPAP as carry on luggage. They did xray and then swab it in both airports for explosives but other than that no one questioned my CPAP. In fact everyone was rea...

another suggestion:
I had that fluttering and it was water (arounf the hose where it connects to the humidifier) that has spilled when I filled the humidifier tank. When I removed the hose a, dired the area of excess water nd reattached it, the fluttering stopped.

Another thought might be to let your insurance company know that the DME did NOT supply what was prescribed. When I had problems with the DME not providing what was prescribed I complained until the insurance company gave me a different DME and they finally provided what was prescibed. This was a ye...

I also carry a copy of my prescription from my doctor as well as the user booklet that came with my CPAP and a printout of the TSA policy on medical devices. I also use the terms "breathing machine" and all the screeners seem to understand. I have never had a problem and we travel a lot. Good luck, ...

When I travel I disconnect the humidifier and wrap it in a washcloth then set in on the base inside the travel case. This prevents any water drops from draining into my CPAP machine. It works great - I take the CPAP all over and have not had a problem.

It did not leak - my floor and all around the CPAP was dry. I know I am a mouth breather big time. I am just concerned because it should not run out of waater and I hate to fill it past the recommended level. Guess I will have to wake up earlier. OH well. Thanks

heated humidifiers - question

I have a heated humidifier on my CPAP (CPAP is a Remstar Plus with a respironics humidifier). My insurance just replaced the humidifier because the old one stopped working. Last night I filled it to the line with distilled water, set it on 2 and it was bone dry this morning after 8 hours. Is this no...

My doctor recommended that I hand carry my CPAP. I just returned from Italy and had no problems what so ever - hand carried it on all flights. I keep the instructions, the prescription from my doctor, and the TSA printout in my carrying case so I will have it if I need it. Good traveling.

I just returned from a trip to Italy and had no problems with carrying my CPAP. In fact all the screeners both here and in Italy knew what a CPAP was and there were no questions about the mahine or the fact that I had my regular carry ons as well as the machine. It was much easier than I anticipated...
