No recent power failures, but now that I think of it, I did manage to run out of space on the drive it's installed to a few days back. It very well could have caused the DB to become corrupt. I did verify that the card was in the reader correctly (And the green light was on) and it would read the ca...

Encore Pro Error, Please help!
Ok I've been using Encore Pro for over a year now. And tonight I'm getting the attached error when I try to download my data. This happens at the "Updating Database" step of the download process. Anyone seen this before? If so what was the fix? I've already tried updating from 1.7 to 1.8. And I stil...

I've never been fired by a doc, but I am seriously thinking about firing my sleep doc.. In all the times I have seen him (4 or 5 times in total), he hasn't spent more then 30 seconds with me. I spend much more time with both his nurse and his nurse practitioner. I'd be happy just to cut him out alto...

Thanks all! I didnt realize to use Full report, will do this and save to desk top. jcranmer, you may be right about the pressure. Mine is @17, but not that much different than 18. Just checked the manual on the M series and the cutoff is 16, not 18. Vibratory snore detection is disabled at pressure...

I'm not positive, but it sounds like you are only selecting "Summary" for the reports instead of "Full Details". One other thing of note; if your pressure is 18 or above (I think that's the correct number), your machine won't record your snore index. Hope this helps and Congrats on getting the softw...

I upgraded from 1.7 to 1.8 and it was very straight-forward, quick, and uneventful. Thanks Paul. That was what I was hoping to hear. On the other hand if there really isn't any new functionality I might just hold off a bit. WOW!, Then as a System admin, someone should let you know that Windows ME, ...

Encore Pro v1.8 vs v1.7?
Other then the Vista support, is there any reason to upgrade from 1.7 to 1.8? I'm still running XP and have no interest in Vista. I'm planing on taking the Windows ME route and just skipping it all together, or at least putting it off as long as I can. Has anyone actually upgraded from 1.7 to 1.8? A...

And, in my opinion, anyone that wants to use the Aura needs to buy an Aussie heated hose. The Aura gets rainout (with a few exceptions). Mine gets rain droplets with the heated hose plus three hose covers on it. I must be an exception, because I never get rainout with the Aura. I used to always get...

The chin strap on the Optilife is only there to stabilize the mask. It will not help with mouth breathing. If you normally use a chin strap, it goes on before the mask. There are options with the hose management. See http://optilife.respironics.com/Fitting.asp for more info. I've had the Optilife f...

Thanks for all the information, I knew I could count on you two to answer any questions I have! I take it you are both sold on the twilight NP? There are so many different ones to choose from, I wasn't sure where to even begin. From a quick browse of cpap.com, I was liking the look of the optilife, ...

Nasal Pillows at higher pressures?
While my F&P 407 is working pretty well for me, I am really wanting to try a different mask style. A recent post about nose itches, made me realize how often I have that problem as well. So how many of you that use pillows are at the higher end of the pressure range. My pressure is set to 17, and I'...
