I can't think of any reason why it would draw more power. I think they just put a smaller, cheaper motor in the 11 to save themselves money.
I'm sure they'll pass those savings along to their customers.....

Re: Need new machine, what's state of art in 2023?

I would opt for the ResMed AirSense 10 Autoset. It has a bigger motor than the 11. Thanks for that info. Just curious if anyone knows whether the Airsense 10 Autoset draws more power than the 11 Autoset, as I may be taking this camping with me and I'd like to get as many nights out of my battery as...

Re: Need new machine, what's state of art in 2023?

Awesome, thanks for the response. One other question - can anyone let me know what kinds of new features have come on the market in the last 15 years that I should be aware of when shopping for a new machine?

TIA!

Need new machine, what's state of art in 2023?

Hi All, It's finally time to replace my old M-Series Auto (well past time...) and I was wondering what folks recommend for the upgrade. I'm looking for APAP with bells and whistles and would love something that's capable of capturing my data on a USB or other memory device so I can track how I'm doi...

Re: Encore Basic Graphs - Details blacked out

Pugsy, Thanks for the info. I was mistaken, i just checked the machine and my M-Series travel unit is actually a Remstar Pro while my bedside unit is a Remstar Auto. Is there a setting that may have been caused my Remstar Pro to act like a Plus or does anyone have experience with a Pro showing black...

Encore Basic Graphs - Details blacked out

I've just downloaded data from my travel unit (M-Series Plus CPAP) and all the data is blacked out. The bars on the "Compliance Information" main page are black, the bars on the "Patterns of Use pages are black, and there is no data shown in the H/OA/VS/FL or other details on the daily graphs. The H...

Re: Battery Review: N-C18500 Li-Ion CPAP Battery

Archangel and Bob, Thanks so much for your help. Now I know that Wh/V = Ah. Electricity has never been my strong suit... Wow, I'm surprised the N-C20000 only has 12.5 Ah capacity. I need something to keep me going for at least a couple of nights at 10 cm H2O and I don't think that unit would cut it ...

Re: distilled water on plane

I use bottled water on a trip. Fill your humidifier each night and empty it in the morning. When you get home give it a good cleaning. I have had no mineral buildup during a number of 2 week trips. If I can't get distilled water easily at my destination, I do this and then run distilled water for a...

Re: Battery Review: N-C18500 Li-Ion CPAP Battery

Hi Folks - It's been awhile since I've been on but I have a question: I'm considering a "Novuscell N-C20000" that's on CL in Denver right now. Here's the battery for sale: http://www.thebatterygeeks.com/CPAP-Battery-p/n-c20000-cpap-battery.htm Does anyone have any info on this battery? Based on the ...

Inexpensive M-series Ultra-Fine Filters?

I was heartened to discover the white disposable filters are online at CPAP.com for $14 for a package of 6, instead of what my DME charged (about $6 each) back when my CPAP stuff was covered by insurance. However this is still a little pricey considering they probably cost about 4 cents each to make...

need help finding detachable air outlet port

Hello All, I need your help. My husband is on a Grand Canyon trip and forgot to take with him is detachable air outlet port so he can use his machine without the humidifier (he doesn't have the humidifier with him, either). A friend is in Las Vegas and will be joining the trip tomorrow morning. I'm ...

M-Series humidifier in passover mode?

Is it worth taking the humidifier part to use in passover mode or will it just be wasted space and excess weight for 18 days on a Grand Canyon river trip? I expect the nights will be in the 50s.

Any & all input welcome,

Thanks!

Re: COBRA Insurance subsidy and longer to apply

The fine print on elegibility: "Individuals who have been involuntarily terminated between September 1, 2008 and December 31, 2009 with annual incomes less than $125,000 (single) or $250,000 (couples) are eligible for the COBRA premium assistance, along with their family. " Hopefully they'll extend ...

Thanks - that's about what I expected.

The next question is: What kind of meter do I need to get to tell me how much charge I've got on the battery?

Thanks,

Battery Charging Question

If I'm charging a 12V, 32 Ah deep cycle marine battery with a solar panel that has a junction box with reverse blocking diode and a max output of 1.2 Amps, is a charge controller necessary or can I just charge this current straight into the battery? I'm also shopping for a flexible 20W marine-grade ...
