Thanks for the advice, Pugsy. Much appreciated. I'll do what you suggest and let you know what happens.
Mike.
P.S.: I hope your wrist recovers quickly.

Re: Interpretation of EncoreViewer 2.0 Reports
Forgot to say: the pressure range of 4 to 16 was originally prescribed by my physician, who has since moved to greener pastures so I can't ask him why! I had the same pressures with the old machine, which was a Remstar M series.

Re: Interpretation of EncoreViewer 2.0 Reports
I looked at your reports. Some questions... How are you feeling? How did you come up with the pressure ranges that are showing? What are your goals? Do the pressure variations bug you? What were you using before this new machine in way of pressure? I could offer what I would do if those were my rep...

Re: Interpretation of EncoreViewer 2.0 Reports
Thanks again everyone for the pointers. I now know what the various terms mean, but I would now like some indication of what "good" and "bad" values are for each of the parameters (AHI, vibratory snore, etc.). I can't find anything by searching this site or Google. Do any of the experienced folks he...

Interpretation of EncoreViewer 2.0 Reports
Hello all. I've been on CPAP for several years. I've just got a new machine, the Philips Respironics System One RemStar Auto A-Flex. I purchased the EncoreViewer 2.0 software and have downloaded the data from the machine's SD card. The EncoreViewer software does not offer any explanation of the data...

Resmed S8 Elite mask settings
Hello All.
Can anyone tell me what difference the various mask settings on the S8 Elite menu make? I have a Swift mask and my machine is set to Swift, but what actually happens in terms of machine function (if anything), with the various mask settings?

Hello All. I'm a newcomer to CPAP, and find this site amazingly informative and populated by incredibly helpful people. I have a rather odd question... First, some background info. I'm renting a Resmed S8 Elite, which works fine. The only problem is that it emits a faint but persistent high-pitched ...

Hi, I've worked out how to get into the clinicians menu on my S8 Elite (by ignoring the warnings, kindly provided by a member of this excellent forum, re which buttons to avoid pressing to prevent us ignorant patients accessing this menu by mistake), but would like to get hold of a manual which expl...

Re: User Mode on Resmed VPAP
Does anyone know how to access the user or clinician mode on a Resmed VPAP and/or check or change settings? I'm looking for access to this mode on the Resmed S8 Elite. Having watched my provider entering this mode it looks like it's a matter of pressing a combination of the control keys, but my pro...
