It looks like you are using the comfort gel mask. I am a newbie too, and I started with that mask. It make me feel claustraphobic as well. There are a lot of masks out there, so I am sure you will find one you would like better. I use the SWIFT nasal mask, and it is very non-claustraphobic feeling f...

Update on my progress: I rigged up my hose with the velcro as suggested, bought a down pillow, use a scrunchie as well, and I have to say that now I am sleeping much better. The rigging helped tremendously as now I can move to sleep on my back or my side. I prefer my side and am having great success...

You might try a nasal pillow mask, tape his mouth shut. The swift mask is very non confining. I was claustrophobic with my comfort gel mask, but I like the swift so much better. Taping his mouth shut would help the mouth breathing. You could also try the HYBRID type masks, they cover the mouth, and ...

Swift Nasal Pillow Headgear Straps
I am using the Swift Nasal Pillow system, and I find that the strap buckle on the rear strap, hits me right in the back of the head. When I lay down on my back the buckle is uncomfortable. I am thinking of taking the buckle off and adding some velcro. Anyone else have a solution?

My Remstar has no data recording ability
My machine has no ability to record any data, I have had it for a month, and it seems to be working fine, but my model does not have the ability to tell me much. How does all this DME stuff work? Can I go to my DME and ask for another machine with that ability, or do I need a physician's prescriptio...

I just tried the Swift myself, and I like it SO much better that the comfort gel mask I was using, I don't feel nearly as confined and I can see, it is so much better. I have to thank all of you for discussing the nostril size, I have a rather bulbous snoz, and I have been using the medium ones. Ton...

How does one make their cpap quieter?
I am a new cpap user and find the noise generated by my cpap machine keeps me awake at times. I was wondering if anyone had developed some type of ventilated encloser that would somewhat deaden the noise generated? I know my machine is a quiet one, and I am not really blaming the machine, it's just ...
