Re: Anyone want to help a Canadian out?

I do have full insurance (I work at a university), but I'm unsure if they'll accept cpap.com bills for reimbursement. I've ordered several masks from cpap.com, but I've never claimed them (they've always been the comfort gel, which isn't very expensive). I noticed that the auction site typically has...

Anyone want to help a Canadian out?

I've been a cpap user for about 2 years now. I'm having a heck of a time lately with my nasal passages being plugged, and thus I'd like to try the Quattro full face. But all these great prices on the auction site, and 99% won't ship the masks to Canada. Anyone willing to buy one for me and then ship...

Out of the loop - what new masks are the latest and greatest

Title says it all... have been out of the loop for about a year, but getting tired of my gel mask. Local provider has very little to demo (and most are very old models), so I'm hoping you all can tell me what's been introduced over the last 12 months? What's hot right now in the world of masks?? lol

I find that using it twice a day (morning, evening) makes a huge difference over just using it in the evening before bed. It clears me up so much (most of the time) that I feel I barely need the cpap machine

I've had mine for 1.5 years and I've probably cleaned it 6 times (so about every 3 months). When I do I just use tap water and hand soap. I do use distilled water in it, however.

No problems whatsoever - crystal clear.

CollegeGirl, I'm in Canada - and in Canada, socialized medicine means you get whatever they give you - which in this case is a CPAP, not a BiPap. And, you can only get a new machine every 5 years unless you pay for it yourself... and with the good Bipaps for central apneas costing $3000+, I'm outta ...

Advice needed (got ahold of my sleep study)

I just got a copy of my sleep study from my doctor... not so good. In 5.6 hours of sleep I had 86 central apneas, 0 obstructive, and 14 hypopneas during my sleep study. I suspected as much, but I'm pretty disappointed. My AHI on my back (supine) was 27.4 (I spent 65.6% of my time on my back), and on...

Not mouth breathing - wife is good at detecting that, and I have no dry mouth or throat issues at all. Also, that leak rate is not that bad - optimal with that mask at my pressure (10.0) is 25.5, so I'm only 8-10lpm off... anything over 50 and I'd be worried. Regardless, I think that leak rate is of...

Help me interpret my 1st week Encore Pro results :)

Here are the stats after my first week with my Remstar Pro2 machine and ComfortGel mask. My AHI seems pretty high at 10.1 - my original sleep study said I had an AHI of about 20 untreated (about 100ish events in 5 hours). Any advice / interpretation would be very much appreciated! Averages: Usage: 7...

ComfortGel boil and cool (customizing)?

Just wondering if anyone has done the customizing procedure with the comfortgel? In stock form it fits me okay, with no realy leaks... but I can't help but feel it'll fit better if I customize it a bit... at the same time I don't want to muck it up. Did you boil/cool/shape the comfortgel, and if so ...

I guess it's different up here in Canada, since we don't pay for sleep studies... my DME even offered to pull the data off the smart card in my Pro2 for me (obviously I'd rather have the data available at home though)... I'm just surprised considering the number of programmers that seem to be on her...
