Anyone fired for nodding off at work??

I was recently made aware by my employer that it is noticable I sometimes appear to be nodding off giving the impression that I don't care or am not interested in certain situations. I explained my sleep apnea and was basically told to get it fixed. I've had a UPPP, been on cpap, and now on bipap, s...

I also had the full UPPP done in 2000. It worked for a couple of years but here I am on cpap. I went through all that pain and suffering for nothing. I hope yours works better than mine.

Good luck

I have suffered with RLS my whole life and have tried everything available including requip, mirapex, neurotin, senimet?, and something called dostanex. They only thing that works for me is a mild pain reliever like Darvon. On a different note, has anyone noticed or know why a lot of people who have...

The UPPP is very painful. The worst torture you could possibly do to yourself, and most who have had this surgery like myself wind up on CPAP. I wish I had done some research before my surgery.

Good luck with your treatment.

I have tried every RLS med available. Nothing works but some type of opiate. A mild pain reliever works the best. After suffering for 20 years I can finally relax in the evenings.

I had this surgery in 2000, it worked for a few years but here I am on cpap. I am in no way qualified to give any medical advice, but DON"T DO IT. I never had a problem with liquid coming up my nose while swallowing, this only happens when the Dr. screws up the surgery.

I had a UPPP in 2000. It worked for a few years but here I am on CPAP. The person who said the recovery is nasty is wrong, it is worse than nasty, it is the worse pain you will ever gone through and pain meds will not help. Most people who have surgery end up on CPAP anyway. Good luck!

I am 6' and 210lb, not too overweight. I was 190 at the time of my surgery, but gained some when I quit smoking.

Anyone else hooked on Afrin other than me?? Quitting smoking was easier than getting off the spray. I know the pitfalls, but everytime I quit I always go back after a few months of not being able to breathe.

I had a UPPP in 2000 and it is very, very painful. It fixed my snoring and apnea for a few years but now my apnea is back and I am on CPAP. I would NEVER go through that surgery again unless my life was in danger and that was my only option. CPAP is not bad at all once you get used to it, actually k...

I had a UPPP in 2000, it was the most painful thing I have ever gone through. It did work for a few years, but here I am on CPAP 7 years later. I was warned that the UPPP was ineffective, but I just couldn't see myself wearing a mask every night. Now after only a month I feel great and have no probl...
