Re: Can't do this anymore! Need some help

I wish I could offer some help... but you frighten me... I would truly ask your Dr about the odd behavior.

Re: Newbie with a mask question or two

You need to consider that you have an ill fitting mask. I had a situation when I wanted to replace my pillows with a mask. My face will not easily fit a mask because of the size and shape of the bridge of my nose... I'm real purdy!...Anyway... you are describing the same issues I had. I love my old ...

Breaking the Rules

So I have been away for quite some time. I still use my CPAP every night after all these years, but I have a confession. I am using the same mask that I got over 4 years ago when I started on CPAP. It is like an old friend... of an old pair of shoes... it is just broken in. The trouble is that the h...

Re: getting to sleep with the CPAP

I found that low heat and no ramp was the best way for me to start out. What equipment do you have? That information can help us help you.

I had the same thing happen. I was told that this is perfectly normal. I quit ripping the mask off after a couple of weeks (although I still may once every few months) and I quit worrying if the machine was working. I finally decided that what I was doing was indeed normal and now, a year + later, L...

Leaking Humidifier

I have developed a leak in the humidifier tank. Did I understand that this was an issue a while back on my type machine? Before I call Apria, I want to do my homework and see if anyone knew if this was a recall / warranty issue.
Thanks,
Ichabod

Opus HC482

For all those interested, I just got an email from F&P that says that the HC482 Opus nasal mask has been released in the US. It currently has limited availability and there was no pricing information in the email. It is recommended to pre-order it through your favorite DME. Just thought I'd pass it ...

Snoring on C-Pap

I have mentioned this before but I think my machine gets weak as the night progresses. I get the feeling that it looses pressure over night. I do not feel air moving through the filter on the exhaust port of my mask in the morning, but air does blow through at night. I was told that it was in my hea...

When I look at my 9 year old, and all he is going to deal with throughout his life with a REAL disability,I consider my OSA merely an inconvenience.

My 2 cents... I would look for a mask that has the hose that goes straight up between your eyes. My Swift was not conducive to side sleeping for me (others have said they have had no trouble). I recently got the F&P Acclaim2. It works better for me for side sleeping. I give it about a 7 on a scale o...

How is the noise level of the OPUS? I consider the Swift to be extremely noisy.

I was so upset when I had my first dream on c-pap and no one I told was impressed!

I am happy for you and I hope for many more for you!

As a side note You gotta take the good with the bad. I had my first nightmare a few nights ago.

Something about a headless horseman......

[quote="Snoredog"]Cflex is great but I wouldn't buy a Plus, I'd get at a Minimum the Pro or better yet the Auto. I agree completely. I have the Plus and am in the process of trying to convince my Dr. that I need the PRO so we can see if my treatment is working. I also have Central apnea and I wonder...

It has taken a month, but I am used to the C-Flex. I has some trouble at first though. I was not relaxing and letting the C-Flex do it's thing. Now it is great. I have the plus machine set at 10 and after a couple of minutes after turning the machine on, I feel absolutely no resistance. I just swich...
