Re: CPAP carry on & non US flights?

My work requires me to travel extensively around the world, so for the past 2 years that has meant taking my machine along with me. Except for a few segments, I have always packed it in my checked luggage; as I hate carrying anything but my laptop bag through the airport and on the plane. It has bee...

My work requires I travel 4 days per week, on average, in the US and Latin America; with a multi-week Europe or Asia trip thrown in every couple of months. I have also gone on a couple of recreational tours similar to the one being planned here; bus and all. I always check my luggage and the machine...

Humidifier Condensation - Respironics M-Series

Folks, For the past several months I have been using a Respironics M-Series Auto. My life is much better thanks to the therapy. After a few shake-down weeks, I have had no problems sleeping with the M-Series or my Swift Mirage; nor my ComfortCurve. My wife even finds the white-noise of the exhaust p...

There is a talented hacker (and as a "computer professional" I mean that in the positive "old school" connotation) on this board doing work with the Respironics; jskinner. I wonder if he has tried to directly access the smartcard data? I am not a real programmer or DBA, so this is outside my scope. ...

I'll toss my two cents in . . . I am new to CPAP therapy and have been working to find a dependable interface. Thank goodness my DME is a friend and has been getting the vendor reps to comp the masks for long-term trials. (But couldn't get the APAP for free. ) To date I have tried the ComfortGel, Co...

Dude (or dude-ette) why the attitude?! I had a golf buddy write the prescription. This is a disorder they allow high school graduates diagnose. The sleep study and titration is just a way for the neurologist to make a pay day, so I decided to pass. Didn't mean to upset anyone!

Hello & A Few Questions

I have been lurking around on this board for awhile, so I figure it is time I make my presence known. One reason is to join the community. The other is to let everyone know what a benefit your posts have been. Because when it comes to CPAP therapy, I am a do-it-yourself-er. Out of concern for my abi...

I am a newbie when it comes to living with CPAP, and bald to boot, but I do know a CPAP pro who has hair; and still values it. He uses a "durag" picked up from a local beauty supply store. These are colorful polyester skull rags you often see on rappers. (I also know lots of Harley folks who use the...
