I had my trial CPAP with a remstar auto (no CFlex) and I was amazed at how quiet it was. When it came time to buy one I went with the M-Series Auto with CFlex and the same mask I used for the trial, I heard alot of people on here complaining about how loud it was but when I turned it on when I got h...

I borrowed one from my clinic just yesterday. Tried it on it felt great, light weight, comfortable, etc. I get home and hook it up to my machine and it was leaking like crazy (Pressure set 8 to 15 cm H2O), I tried to adjust the headgear to reduce the leaks but found I had to have it on so tight that...

How long do you try out a new mask before you give up on it?

Tried a new mask last night, had the worst night sleep yet since being on treatment since october. Overall it was reasonably comfortable to wear, light weight and all blah blah blah. I woke up several time for adjustments which I expected but the thing that concerns me is that my AHI has averaged ar...

I've had my m-series auto since novermber 10th, I've had the encore pro software since the beginning of december. Since I"ve had the software I have lost the daily details data only for two day stretches about every 16 days. It still records hours of use (compliance issues) and reports the averages ...

I've seriously considered getting one. I don't have regular rainout problems however there are a few mornings where I wake up with a cold nose and some condensation in the mask. The hose itself is dry.

Would this heated hose help?

Congrats on your dreams everyone, I myself have been on cpap for 3 months and had but 1 dream. I feel alot better, even my mother says that I look better when I woke up at her house during the xmas break, so everything in treatment is going well ... but no dreams. Well I feel much better that it just isn't me experiencing this. So if its 2 days without data and then data again I can look forward to looking through it tomorrow I suppose. The only bad thing about it, is since I got this machine on Nov 10 I have had two bad nights with non responsive apneas and ...

That's interesting that 30 is considered severe. When I had my sleep test done I was averaging in the range of 40 events per hour and my RT said that was moderate. He might have classified it as moderate because my O2 levels never dropped dramatically from 96% down to 88% or something like that (I d...

The major difference is that the auto is adjusted your pressure as required maintaining as low of a pressure as possible to keep your airway open. The Pro is a single pressure machine it will be set at a pressure that will keep your airway open most of the time. As far as data recording capabilities...

Encore Pro Missing Data

I'm not sure if this is a normal bug in Encore Pro but for the last two nights there has been no Sleep Therapy Daily Details. It is really strange because all the averages and hours of sleep for those nights are there, just no detailed daily information. It kind of sucks because I think last night w...

Everyone is right it takes time to get used to, for me when I first got my cpap I wanted to get used to breathing with it so I just sat down on the couch and hooked it up while I watched a movie. By the end of the movie I was completely comfortable breathing and have rarely had problems since. Befor...

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner and I'm not sure that it matters anymore but my non-leaking humidifier is from 09/06, it has a "1" stamped beside the manufacturing date on the bottom. I don't know what the date or number was on my old leaky one. I have been using this one for a week and a h...

I got my M-Series humifier about 3 weeks ago, I was weary but the guy in the clinic said it would not leak that this problem was fixed. First night it leaked, I continued to use it through the weekend with a towel underneath, every morning the towel was dry. I got brave enough to use it again withou...
